Help.... 2020 question here. 3D dynamic optirough is using a conventional direction of the helix motion for leading in to begin roughing out the area and this destroys the tips of end mills. How do I force it to go to a climb mil direction? I can't find the "switch".

Hey there... Has anyone had the message that MU3 cannot be installed unless MU2 is installed....and MU2 IS installed? I show 15.2.1.2 for the version.... Ugh.... <edit> This fixed the problem for me... We’ve found that the few folks who have reported this have a spurious “mastercam.exe” laying around on their system (but haven’t yet determined how it got there). To solve this, on a 64 bit machine, go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and try to find a Mastercam.exe file. If found delete it. On a 32 bit machine, go to C:\Windows\System32 and delete the Mastercam.exe file if it exists. If you found a Mastercam.exe and deleted it you should be able to run the MU3 installer. If you were not able to find a Mastercam.exe file then we will need to do further investigation. But so far in two different cases a Mastercam.exe file was found in these locations.

Try this: To unwind the B-axis: After the Z move… G0 G91 G28 B0. G90 Example: G0 Z5.9392 G0 G91 G28 B0. G90 This worked for me after I wound the B axis up on a trunion table and didn't want to wait for it to unwind. Matt. :nuke

Hey there MasterCAM minions! Our company has a nice solid network that we store all of our .MCX and post files on and we have not had any issues with MasterCAM until this last Monday. When we are browsing the network, saving a file, posting, or just looking at the screen, MasterCAM will just either freeze or just simply go away with no notice, and without a pattern. Our IT guy is looking into a possible fragmentation issue and the only updates are windows updates. I have not installed anything on our 3 programming computers since upgrading to X5 MU1 a week after it came out. Is anyone else having this issue recently? Thanks, Matt. Hello there! I am in need of some help locating a 3D model of our new machine. Haas is not helping much. We have a VF5/40 TR that has the TR210 table on in with NO table on the machine. We want this as a strictly 5 axis machine. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Matt.
