morning thad yea were pretty busy here. we have a night shift again. i'm down on the floor programing and running the okuma.i stay pretty busy. i found where to get my black screen back.everything seems to be ok except after i post out a program the text page that comes up after looks different than before,but seems to be ok. anyway they hired a guy to run the cnc department now, he wears nice clothes tho.lol well talk to ya later bud. p.s. yea i know it's early i start at 5 to get some gramming done. marty

hey thad hows it going with you. still says current english.i rebooted pu and still the same. also i think i clicked on save for something i can't remember what it was.hellllllllllp also how do i get rid of all my toolpaths that show up ok it said save settings to configuration flie i said yes. marty [ 08-20-2007, 10:34 AM: Message edited by: Marty A ]

hi all well some how i messed things up today.i was trying to convert a metric flie to english.well it is not working. i know to go to configureation and switch over but it already says english.and my file is still metric.sooooo i clicked on the file icon to the left,i then clicked on merge initial english values,bad move i now have a blue screen where before i had a black back ground, and now when i open a file up it shows all my toolpaths.yea you could say i,m lost now. thanks in advance. marty

nope leaving no stock,it should have followed the arc seeing it is a .252 rad.but ithink you are right when you say it needs some breathing room. thanks kannon and no you did'nt misunderstand i tkink you hit it right on. oh and yes quickmike i start at 5 am yea it's early marty dazed and confused

moring evryone i got a little problem. i,m probraming a pocket with .252 rads in the corners.no biggie i thought.i program it with a 1/2 end mill.ok no problem it looks good in verify.ok they go to run the program and it didn,t post out rads just straight lines.so i post it out with a 3/8 end mill and every thing is fine.i don't know why the 1/2 em did'nt work. i can't figure it out.any ideas?maybe a setting some where i don't see?. thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.have a good day all marty

ramping is the for me now.thanks thad i use ramping on keys and small pockets.never thought to use it for holes. thanks every one marty

ok i can only see the tool go around my hole once.i can,t see the tool go around after that so i don't know how much of a step i'm taking. i am use the single step for this.my backround is black marty

hello all just got my post all ready to go from my reseller.so i'm back to mx.when i am back plotting a hole that i'm helicing down i can't see what the step down is.like in ver 8 i could see the path but now there is'nt any.as always any help is greatly appreciated. thanks go tigers marty

thanks guys worked great.break many plcs worked but i used thads way that seemed to work better for me.hey thad there busy on the floor but design is real slow.could be slowing down here real soon for me.things have been going good still getting the new condo in order.talk to ya later bud and thanks again guys.i'll be back marty

well i took the mx transition class last week all is going pretty good so far.i have all my post and librarys and ops all updated. so far so good.but i just can't seem to break a freaking line in half.man i know it's easy,but i just can't seem to get it. any advice is alway's appreciated. marty
