  1. Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll give an update if we decide to move forward with Mastercam.
  2. Hello Everyone, We are looking into programming an Index G200 https://www.index-werke.de/fileadmin/user_upload/INDEX/G200/INDEX_G200_EN.pdf machine using Mastercam. This is a complex machine with 2 spindles, 3 turrets with Y-Axis, and a 360 degree B axis milling spindle. Our production department is currently using Siemens NX to program. I've also seen success with these types of machines using Esprit. Is there anyone out there programming a similar machine using Mastercam? Also, what simulation software are you using? I've heard of Vericut and NC Simul. Has anyone heard of Eureka https://www.roboris.it/en/home-01/ ? Finally, any problems getting a post for a machine like this? I'm curious to hear success stories if any... Thanks!
  3. Hey All, I'm also looking at verification software and posts. I'm looking into getting some some INDEX machines (ABC, G200, G250) to be programmed with Mastercam. I was also told that a machine environment is not available for my machines from our reseller. Has anyone heard of Eureka from Roboris?? https://www.roboris.it/en/home-01/ Our reseller recommended them as an alternative to Vericut and NC Simul. They claim to specialize in complex turning.
  4. Hey guys, I did some research and I have an update. You can start milling in a negative quadrant, as long as you give an approach move reference point. This works for Traub but it may work for different machines. Good luck!
  5. Thanks for the feedback C^Millman. I guess I'm use to running Haas. On Haas control, you can put toolpaths anywhere using XY and the machine will convert to positive XC moves.
  6. Hello, Does anyone have experience running a Traub mill/turn? Our machine is a Traub TNA 300 and has XYZC axis. I'm having some issues with G17 Face Milling. If I start my tool-path in positive XY the machine executes no problem. However, if there are any features in a negative quadrant that I put tool-paths on the machine does not like it. Has anyone had this issue before??
  7. Upgraded to MU1 and it fixed some bugs but found many new ones. Everything will be fixed in the next version. I keep hearing this like a broken record......HAHA
  8. Tool representation in verify is really bad when it comes to custom tools in lathe. Also, The machine moves are not even correct when it comes to C-Axis rotational moves. I really hope Mastercam is working to improve this.
  9. I got around this by chaining every single pocket individually. It posted out fine. I just wish there was an easier way of doing this. Maybe by having a choice to transform using C or XY moves? Next version right? Thanks guys, Edgar
  10. I worked with our dealer and they created a post for me. In my Misc. Values I have the option of turning G112-G113 on and off. But I have found that I get a much more accurate cut when this is on. When I program this I am not using Axis Sub. So is this a post issue?
  11. I am running a Haas SL-20 lathe with C-Axis and using X5. I am milling multiple pockets on the face of my part. Using face contour toolpath in Mastercam I chain one pocket and then transform the toolpath. The only problem is that when Mastercam posts out it makes the rotational moves using c-axis. I am using cartesian to polar transformation (G112-G113) and it does not allow c-axis moves. My question: is there a way to transform multiple pockets on a face without having it post out with c-axis rotational moves?
  12. Thanks Serenity! Is this new for X5? I never had to do this in X4.
  13. I am importing from Solidworks into X5 and can not fully change the color of my model. Is anyone having this same problem?

    Turn Profile

I did send some info to QC. They replied back and told me to use slice.
