  2. I really do not like this new feature. I need to view the area being cut from multiple views while it is being machined. I realize that I can hit the pause button, rotate the view, then hit the play button again. But to do this 100s of times is burdensome and a waste of time. However I would like to offer a suggestion. When verifying and the user chooses to rotate the view, how about an automatic pause and then when the user stops rotating the verify continues.
  3. A restart of Mastercam fixed it for me.
  4. Figured it out. I looked in the config file and found it was the "report" folder setting, so I changed it back to the following; 31020. Reports Folder? <APP_DIR_SHARED>Common\Reports\
  5. No on the migration. I set the the MCX files (and all other geometry files) to go to C:\jobs\, but thats it. I left "shared user data" and everything else the same. When i get a chance I will try deleting the config and try again.
  6. X7 creates these folders IMG, MSC, NPL, NST, SST, XML, and places them in my “jobs” folder. They are empty and I don't want them there cluttering things up. If needed I would gladly have them somewhere else (like “user data folder” or “shared data folder”), but can't figure out where the setting is. In settings – configuration – files, I specify that all the geometry files (MCX, DWG, etc…) point to my “jobs” folder, but I don't see anything about the folders I have listed above. So does anyone know where the setting is for these folders to be created elsewhere?
  7. Please add corner rounding to the "high speed" scallop toolpaths. Since "old style" scallop has "sharp corner smoothing" it creates a superior toolpath even though the "high speed" has better transitions and tool holder checking.
  8. Yup, I got the SP1 notification too. It popped up in the windows taskbar. Downloaded and installed it.
  9. I have not tried the X7 verify, but looking at your file, it appears that "dog-legged" rapids are being used. Is there a setting for that in the new verify?
  10. Is this what you are looking for? http://www.emasterca...74 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=vkKW5Wmgx7g
  11. Yes this is a pet peeve of mine... Mastercam can't open their own older files. We still have tons of files (.GE3, .MC7) yet to be converted.
  12. From what I remember it would only do this on the last chain. So if you had 3 chains, the first 2 would work fine but not the last one. What I ended up doing was creating a fake or dummy chain up and away from the part and cut air for the last chain.
  13. This scares me and that is why I just don't post and run the code, I don't know what it is going to do. Without 3rd party NC verification its too much of a gamble. This doesn't work anymore - at least as far as I can tell. Several versions back It would create a 3D point (geometry), so then you could see where the invalid arc was when backplotting.
  14. I keep getting this error and am concerned that a posted program with this error will cause some unintended results (i.e. crash or surface violation). It occurs with OptiCore. I was able to eliminate it by turning off the "line/arc filtering settings - create arcs in XY". But now my programs are much longer and also takes forever verify. Any other suggestions? With this be fixed in X7?
