  1. Hi Guys, I am using MCAM 2023 right now, and when you open an older version program it would be really cool if the "EDIT COMMON PARAMETERS" function contained a way to turn on the new "GENERATE TOOLPATH" checkbox for all of the operations at once. The older versions, ie. MCAM 2021, have that box unchecked by default. I thought I would ask if anyone agreed that would be a good idea to implement.
  2. Hi Guys! I know this is a long shot, but I thought I would ask if someone might have, and be willing to share, a post for a Doosan Lynx 2100 LMS. I know the posts are sometimes tied to the HASP or license, but I thought I would give it a try here on the forums. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
  3. You guys rock. Precisely the info I was after, and I hope it will be of assistance to others as well!
  4. Hi Guys! I am somewhat new to using some of the "Multiaxis" toolpaths, and I have put together a simple little swarf milling toolpath for a rotary indexer on a 3 axis VMC. I am hopeful someone might provide some advice on the "depth" of my cut. I have created the upper and lower "guide curves" and selected the appropriate surfaces, the toolpath looks great and the code looks great...but I can not seem to figure out how to get the tool to cut below the lower guide curve. It seems as though the lower curve controls the depth of cut? I just want to make the same cut, but maybe about .030 or .040 below the lower curve. Is there just a simple box where I can define a value that I am missing..? Thanks in advance for any tips from you guys! 122672-7 TEST 5.mcam
  5. I was perusing this thread here.... I am also a happy owner of the HSM Advisor software, it is a great resource. If I may ask of some of the other users here....When do you apply the "HSM" and "Chip Thinning" checkboxes, and do you apply both of them at the same time? The results can be dramatically different, and I was curious if I have been possibly using these boxes incorrectly. Thanks in advance for any input from you guys!
  6. That advanced drill path in 2021 looks super handy.....great feature!
  7. That is an awesome thing to share...very much appreciated. I can't seem to figure out the "install" process though. If someone could chime in on how to make use of this gem, that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance! ***ok....didn't see the word doc thing...please disregard***
  8. I agree about the super alloys, but as you said, good for plastic and aluminum. I work with a lot of aluminum, and fortunately no super alloys...lol.
  9. This idea is so logical, it seems impossible for them NOT to incorporate it. Edgecam was doing it 10 years ago.
  10. I have mentioned the following idea to Mastercam techs on a few occasions now, but it still has not appeared in 2020. The opti roughing toolpaths, which allow for large cuts to rough, and then the "step-ups" to create the "stair steps" if you will, do not have a feature to over-ride the feed and speed for the smaller cuts. Why do I have to cut a .020 x .020 step at the same feed and speed as my 1.00" x .050 steps for example? I see no good reason why this feature should not be incorporated into the newest software. I welcome all input and feedback on this one, and I hope someone with some clout at MCAM can finally make this happen. I have been asking for 2 years.
  11. I like to create custom tool geometry on a level in the program itself, and then link the custom tool to that. Makes for accurate verification.
  12. I think that looks like my problem, I will mess with those settings. I have multiple of those checked off, that MUST be the source of my grief. I have never accessed that menu before. Thanks for the tip!!
