So, following that link I see mill MD/CD/Post packages only.
Is lathe in the works and just not available yet?
I checked with the post team and Lathe is planned soon!

Daniel, I'm trying to create a MD/CD/Post using this, but I'm having trouble getting the MD correct. I posted here:
Could you direct me to some assistance for this?
I've passed your comment along to the post team, someone should be in touch shortly

The folks at In-House Solutions have exciting news....
They are now offering their generic controller master posts for FREE! (Yes, you heard that right!)
Fanuc and Haas mill posts are included in this initial release but check back often for more to come.
Head over to the Support section on their website, or click the link to access the download: http://ow.ly/q6Ue50NxcCv

Hello,
My apologies, it appears that the free sample PDFs have gone missing. I will get those attached to the books again shortly. In the meantime, here is the project list for the 2021 Solids TT book.

Hello arlen_one,
I just discovered that a server problem is preventing unlocking of the protected PDFs. Please follow the instructions in section 2 of the video playlist I linked to above to access your material while our technical team fixes the issue.
-
Hello arlen_one,
Usually when this happens it's because the PDFs are being opened in a browser like Chrome or Microsoft Edge, which are too simple to actually go through the unlock process. Opening them in Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader can usually fix this issue. If they are being opened in those programs and they're still not working, sometimes certain settings need to be corrected, in which case section 4 of this video playlist demonstrates how to configure the programs: https://www.emastercam.com/store-pages/unlock-ebooks/
I noticed several successful unlocks using the dedicated webviewer system from your account, but nothing has come through from the older protected PDF system so my guess would be the PDF files are being opened in a browser or in Adobe/Foxit that haven't been configured correctly yet.

Hello gwaed,
These 4 books include video training DVDs with them, demonstrating how to complete the lessons:
https://www.emastercam.com/store/product/1206-mastercam-2018-mill-essentials-training-tutorial/
https://www.emastercam.com/store/product/1240-mastercam-2018-mill-advanced-training-tutorial/
https://www.emastercam.com/store/product/1207-mastercam-2018-lathe-training-tutorial/
https://www.emastercam.com/store/product/1210-mastercam-2018-multiaxis-essentials-training-tutorial/
They also include the free Mastercam 2018 Home Learning Edition DVD but be aware that the 2018 version is going to expire after July this year.

I had a customer who received this error, in his case it was resolved by going to Steep/Shallow and recalculating the Z depths.

Hi Fabio1,
Would those be the files found over here? https://www.emastercam.com/files/file/1183-mastercam-2017-training-files/, t
If so, those files are freely available for anyone to download and are used in our various training books and videos found in our online store: https://www.emastercam.com/store/
It's possible someone just downloaded the files but didn't actually buy any of the books they go with

Hello Parker,
It looks like the file didn't finish downloading. The file should be ~1.24 GB but the file you've downloaded is only 16MB. You could try downloading from our other website: https://www.inhousesolutions.com/mastercam-2019-hle-download/
If that doesn't work, try disabling your anti-virus temporarily until the file finished downloading. If that also doesn't work, go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and checking your speed to make sure you're not timing out before the download can finish.

You may need to either update your graphics drivers to the latest version, or else roll them back to an older version. Sometimes one version of a graphics card driver will work fine, but the next update breaks it completely. You'll have to download various versions of your drivers to see which one works and then keep it stopped at that version.
As a general note, Mastercam tends to work best with NVIDIA graphics cards, and it works better with the Quadro line of cards than gaming cards like GeForce.

Well we just made the jump from X9 to 2019 and holy crap I'm totally lost. trying to find and or do stuff that used to take seconds it mind numbing.............hope we get it figured out fast.
Colin Gilchrist made this for us: https://www.emastercam.com/ecourses/ecourse/69-mastercam-2018-getting-started/
Might be helpful for figuring out where things are.

Hello KollinD,
Buying a full course gives you access to that course for that version indefinitely. If you purchase the Mastercam 2018 Mill Essentials eCourse, for example, you can come back in at any time in the future to refresh yourself with the videos or the eBook. However, you don't automatically get access to newer versions of the course (e.g., 2019 or 2020) or other courses (e.g., Mill Advanced).
The Sitewide Subscription gives you access to all eBooks and all eCourses for as long as you keep up your subscription. You get all currently released materials as well as access to new materials as they are released. If you buy a year-long subscription today you'll automatically get access to all of the materials for the next version of Mastercam when it's released next year. A week before your subscription is set to expire you'll be sent a reminder asking you to renew. If you choose not to renew your access will automatically expire and you will no longer be able to access the eBooks and your progress in the courses will be erased. You will not be automatically charged for renewal so there's no risk of forgetting to cancel when you're finished and being on the hook for an additional year.
You also don't need to buy anything from eMastercam.com to access the free Home Learning Edition of Mastercam 2019. You can download it here: https://signup.mastercam.com/demo-hle

Daniel Gingras

I've been trying to convince the boss of that very thing. I saw that this setup didn't meet the min requirements listed on Mastercam's website for the video card or processor. I was told to try it anyway.
Depending on the complexity of your parts it may be fine. If all you're doing is simple 2D work then it might not be a problem but if you're doing anything more complicated the money saved by using integrated graphics and a cheap processor will be lost very quickly in terms of time waiting for the computer to work through things. Hopefully you can convince them to spend a bit of money now to make a bunch more with improved efficiency down the line.

I am not using HLE, but this did work for Mastercam 2017. Will disabling these settings have any negative affects elsewhere in Mastercam? For reference here are the specs on my laptop:
Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8650u CPU @ 2.11 GHz
Memory (RAM): 24.0 GB
Graphics: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
Disabling hardware acceleration will lower performance when working with more complex parts. Simple training parts shouldn't see any significant problems but most parts used in industrial settings will see a performance hit. Of course, integrated graphics cards aren't recommended for Mastercam. If you're using this computer for work it'd be best if you acquired a decent graphics card.

Hello Giang,
When you say the backplot was acting up all weird, what exactly was it doing?

Has any one ever received error "Failed to initialise COM" while starting mastercam. I'm dealing with it very badly. I haven't got any solution yet.
The solution to this is actually counterintuitive. Go to your Windows settings and change your default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer.

I had that exact error message when installing a different program. Try disabling your antivirus temporarily, then right-click on the install file and select "run as administrator."

Hello Ian,
There's a solution to this issue in this thread: https://www.emastercam.com/forums/topic/94643-mastercam-2018-hle-not-working/?do=findComment&comment=1197745
-
For the English-speaking members of the forums, carlos suarez stated that the issue appears to be caused by printer drivers (HP printers specifically). The solution he suggests is to go to Windows control panel and change your default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Viewer. The user Ants331 stated they didn't have a printer but changing the default printer fixed the issue for them.

Hello Josh,
Good idea! I have created a new 3D printing sub forum that can be found here: https://www.emastercam.com/forums/forum/40-3d-printing/
To navigate to it, it's in the Mastercam Forums, underneath Machining, Tools, Cutting & Probing
