  2. Hi, I'm a newbie at using G68, so having some issues. i have a square casting that has a round boss on the bottom, i have to hold the round boss and machine the square. i want to use G68 to make sure I'm machining square but also need to set the G54 in the middle of the square casting not of the round boss. i have written what i thought would work but I'm having issues with where the controller stores the macro angular change. I have tried using a G54 for the datum and G55 for just the angle but they store in the same place and keep over writing. % O0 (SQUARE PILOT) (T25|6MM PROBE|H25) (T6|10 MAPAL|H6) (T10|16. 3. Ive been using stl files for rest mill ect for a while. normal process for a round part is recieve the turned model as an stl for me to then put on 4axis. Normally what i do is just save the stl file as an stl but some of the larger parts i have to create a boundry then create a revolved solid from the flat 2d then save as stl, but lately all my stl file end up being massive, like 60mb. i dont know why my files are ending up so big. please help..
  4. Finally after 2 weeks my reseller got back to me, i uninstalled x6 then he had me run "Cleanup_uninstall_x6 batch file" that mastercam supplied, this deleted every thing that was there and not removed from the standard uninstall, reinstalled then bang... all good to go, thakyou every one for your help. Steve
  5. I have tried everything from both threads and still nothing, after my last uninstall, i have noticed that the "my mcam6" folder is not there, i reinstalled from the dvd so i thought all the folders would be there. and yes X5 is still working perfectly.
  6. I have tried from the DVD and also from the download.
  7. I did the default install, all that sounds excactly like what is wrong with mine, i have updated all the drivers, the net framework but still no good, i dont know what files they talk about being wrong to fix and reinstal as the other guy has had working for him.
  8. Just tried that and still no good, but thanks anyway.
  9. Hi Guys, I have recently upgraded to from x5 to x6 all was ok but my pc was way to slow, so my company unpgraded me to a pc built to the mastercam specs. In reinstalling software i have x5 working perfectly but have problems with x6. When starting up X6 i get to where is says checking hasp and everything stops, the program just turns off. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, renamed config(as suggested by mastercam), i dont know what else to do, due to not being very good with computers and being is oz it makes comunication with mastercam(time zone) difficult. please can anyone help.
