  1. Use a VB Script to post for all machines. Then each post will handle each machine. No problems!!
  2. John P had a post pinned, I think it is the 6 one down. " Updating to X6" It really tells you how to Transfer the things over you want.
  3. We have 3 seats of Mastercam and 2 seats of solids. So the first 2 people to open Mastercam get solids. No problem. But we are having a problem that keeps happening. Sometimes when one of us closes mastercam, solids stays checked out. This morning I came in and both solids showed to be in use but no one had mastercam open. We keep having to have the IT guy reset the Nethasp to release the solids seats. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem??? Thanks Connormac
  4. We are trying to install X+ on 64bit version of mastercam 6. We are getting a error message on lang.dll. But everything is in German so we are not sure what to do. Help we really want to try to use X6. Connormac
  5. Hi Günther, Is the new X+ version for X6 for the 64bit version of mastercam X6? Thanks for all your hard work. It is a great setup sheet. Connormac

    X+

John, What is everyone who is using X6 using for a setup sheet?? Kyle
  7. What you can do is have your 2 different post. Then just run a VB Script that will post each program to each folder. I post to 8 different machines in the proper folder for each machine with just 2 clicks.
  8. How do I get X+ to work in X6 x64. Or will it? Thanks
  9. Yes this would be a great help. If I'm going to bring this up. I would help if I could show how to do it. Also I use a VB Script to run all my Posts. Will my vb script work with the posts on a server?
  10. Thanks Bill and everyone. Now to go talk to my boss about this. Connormac
  11. This is what I hoped to here. Now the first road block. I was talking to our IT person. He use to be our programmer. He brought up , when one programmer adds a tool, how is the tool list updated for all the other programmers already using mastercam. Once you open Mastercam isn't it the list loaded into mastercam. Don't get me wrong I agree, just trying to get answers to questions before I bring it back up. If they bring up a road block I will have to find a answer and it will be that much longer before it can be switched. Another programmer said he wanted to use his list that way he knew what was on it and that it was right. I tried to tell him that we need to all be using the same tools. Thanks for all the responses Connormac
  12. Hey all, I was just wondering if companies with more than one programmer used 1 tool data base on a server or does each programmer have their tool list set up on each computer. I think we should all be using the same tool list but need a good argument to convince everyone that is how it should be. Please give opinions. Thanks Connormac
  13. Hey All Thanks for the replys. I have everything fixed except... I was told that I had to have the G49 G05.1 Q1 Before my G43 line. But how do you do this if you use the same tool to do a 2d high speed tool path then use the same tool to finish. The only way I can figure is to do forced tool change. Or use a diffrent tool. So close but not there yet. Thanks Connormac
  14. Hey John, Things are going Ok, thanks. Just trying to learn about high speed tool paths. Got a new programmer here and he uses them alot so I have to learn so I can improve my programs. Thanks for the answer I will fix it. Just wanted to make sure before going to all the work. Thanks again Kyle
  15. I have my post's (8) set up so turn on high speed machining (G05.1 Q1)always unless it is drilling. I have been told that now that we are really starting to use 2d high speed tool paths that it is taking the 2d high speed tool paths operations longer with high speed machining turned on in machine (G05.1 Q1). I can go back and put in a mis. integer.( ?? ) and then we will have to manually turn it on for each path. Which is correct? Hope this makes since. Thanks for looking Connormac
  16. Thanks John that worked. I'm trying to have it post without any editing. It would help if I knew what it should look like. Will be spending time with operators looking for problems. Thanks again Connormac
  17. I am starting to use MPLmaster to post for our leadwell lathe with fanuc control. I would like to disable Y axis so the post won't put a Y0 in my tool change position. Thanks in advance for the help, Connormac
  18. Same here I can't leave view manager open. It would save time if I could!!
  19. I have just started writing all the lathe programs. I am using MPLMASTER.pst. I an trying to get the code to come out right. The operator tells me the machine (leadwell lathe ) does not like G3 with a R in the line. I think I need to change it to a G3 with an I and J. Where do I make this switch. Thanks Connormac
  20. I change it and save . Close mastercam and when I open it is back to where it was....AAAAAAAAh
  21. Every time I open mastercam and try to open a file it sends me to C:/documents settings/all users/shared documents/ shared mcamx5 directory. I need it to go to Z:/ which is the machine shop folder on the network. Where do I change this??
  22. If you go thru and pick the the chains rather than window them the tool will stay engaged in the part longer, less up and down and saves on the point. We saved a lot of time doing this and the machine doesn't go all over the place. I even put the Date code in a diffrent coutour, that way all I have to do is fix the date code contour when the job comes back thru. JM2C
