I have MC 2019 and using the Cimco 8 editor. Whenever I go to post a program on a particular machine that does not like any file extentions. ie, NC. PST. Tap, etc, it will always add a .NC.
My control definitions, config system and post dialog box ALL say not to add any extentions. But Cimco will always add the .NC extentions. I have had no luck in trying to force Cimco not to put and extention on the program but I have not found it yet.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Sandybar
We have older Dos based CNC milling centers with either Floppy, RE-232c or Ethernet hookups for program uploads.
We are currently hook up to the Network via Ethernet, and with every new security update on the network running Win 10 , we often are unable to communicate to the machine tool.
Our IT department will not allow us to have a stand alone station used solely to send programs to the machine tool.
Has anyone else have this problem? or are we the only one that has to fight our IT department.
We have a nethasp license manager (Aladdin) for our MasterCam. We have approx. 500 workstation at our company hooked up to our network. But only 15 workstations with MasterCam installed. We have several workstations that are non-users with no MasterCam installed on its workstation but somehow they are grabbing a license from our Aladdin license manager. Has anyone had this problem? What do I need to do to eliminate these workstations from grabbing a license.
Thanks in advance.
We are looking for a large envelope machine 60" x 30" for our tooling department and 30" in Y is pretty much a must have. We do have limitations when looking for a large envelope machine. Milltronics fits our budget, tool capicity, and speed. Would like to know the long term durability, service and value.
If we had a budget it would deffinitly need to be below 100K
We are looking into a Milltronics VMC and would like to get the pros and cons to this product.
If anyone has any experince with this machine tool, could you take a moment to express you likes and dislikes?
Thanks in advance
I know im missing somthing really simple but for the light of me can't get my head around it.
I projected a curve onto a 2" diameter cylinder surface.
Using 5 axis curve Classic, using the 3 D curves in cut pattern, I mills the top just fine and also does the same pattern 180 degrees from the top. I only want to mill the top.
Tool axis control is surface cylinder.
Any help would be appreciated.
Did a search but sis not find the answer I was looking for. I want to save the Stock Model for a Rest Mill operation but can't seem to find a way to do so. Is this possible.
Thanks
