  1. I trimmed the surface. Back Radius Finish by Using T_Slot Cutter.mcam
  2. Your Welcome. The problem you were having with the custom tool was extra geo on that level. MC didn't know what to do with it. These toolpaths always seem to have issues with any WCS other than TOP. I do believe this is a bug. But I don't use them often enough to be 100% that is.
  3. Is this what you mean? Well I can't seem to attach the file. I just used the entire lower chain with comp off and .1 left on walls.
  4. I had this same issue. I discovered that I could delete the tool paths in the solids manager and it would then save with no problem. I haven't notice any problems on actual tool paths.
  5. Has anyone ever cut isomolded graphite? I have a job coming up that has about 30 tools to be cut from this. I have never cut it. Would appreciate some advice on a start point for feeds and speeds, cutter type. Thanks for any help Tony
  6. You should post your file.
  7. Are you talking about the .stl tolerance in the verify option page? If so what type of tolerance is recommended? I will play around with it some. Thanks
  8. When I run verify if it makes it to the end of all cuts when I try to save the stock file to stl. it completely crashes MC. It does this almost every time. What could be causing this? Memory is 8gb. Windows 7 64bit install. Thanks for any suggestions.
  9. I used Esprit mill for 5 years. Loved it! Then had to go back to MC. Hated that! You will hate Esprit at first because it is very different in how you do things but, Once you get familiar with it you can program circles around MC. I'm sure I will get slammed bad for that statement. Especially being on the MC site. But just giving my honest opinion. MC is what I use these days and I would be just as happy with it if I could get a stable setup. Both systems have there strengths and weaknesses so if you keep access to both you will learn which parts will be best and quickest in which system. Give Esprit a fair chance I think you will like it.
  10. When I get revisions I import the new model into my old mcx file. Put it into correct orientation make any changes necessary for the new model then blank the old. Cuts that did not change will still be associated with old model.
  11. I have a similar issue. I need to simply rotate my c axis so that the knuckle will not interfere with stock. I have tried using different planes rotated but the gcode is always the same. How or where do I make this happen.
  12. My Apologies to everyone! Thanks again Albert.
  13. Thanks Albert, I will give that a try when I get back to work. No worries on the other G codes. I just need to get the arc moves outputting right. Tony
  14. I wasn't ask to prove I was a legit user. The statement was give the info so He could put his guy in touch with my reseller. I'm very sorry if I hurt everyone's FEELINGS. It isn't like I called you all a bad name or anything. I simply responded with what I thought would clue everyone in as to how much I am frustrated with my so called Reseller. Who is ( Name of resller removed)
  15. I was not spitting in Colins eye or anything of the type. I am simply making the point that my Reseller is virtually useless and do not care to deal with him anymore. And if that is the only way I can get help from Mastercam then I would prefer to look at another Avenue. When my reseller is sitting in my office and getting paid to build me a post that works and I ask him to help with some sort of work around of some kind so that I can at least get my machines running and all he can do is request that I create him a zip2go file so that he can take a look at it later is BS! Then I find out who he is sending the file to, to actually get the post written and that guy as nice as he is and as helpful as he is has never written a post for this type of control and is having to read the books on it to get to what I have. I would think a good Reseller would find someone that could do it or at least someone to help this guy do it. I hired on at this company in June of this year and they had been trying to switch to x for over a year prior to that. So yeah I get pretty upset when someone mentions "Reseller" Tony
  16. Thanks but NO Thanks! I prefer to bang my head on the wall of my choice not that of Master Cam. If going through the area Reseller is the only way to get help then maybe its time to look for new software to use. Tony
  17. LOL! Good one. My reseller doesn't know anymore than I do. He sends all posts request on to someone else and that person doesn't know much about these controls. It took me 4 months to get a post that would generate a program that wouldn't error out. I was really hoping to find someone that actually new this control well enough to completely redo my post. If I can get the company to pay for it again. It may even be a parameter setting on the control that could be set wrong or just need to be changed.
  18. I don't know why the name was x'ed out but it is a f a g o r
  19. Can anyone help me with post issues for xxxxor 8055 control? I'm getting bad coordinate error on machine. The problem is with arc outputs. The gcode is G2 x,y,z, I,j. The post doesn't always put a k out. I have noticed that the z coordinate is the same as the line before.
  20. Did you ever figure this out?? I have the same problem with X6. What is really strange is the models I'm using were created in Mastercam.
