  1. Hey, different question on the same text theme: I'm trying to adjust vertical spacing between separate strings of text (think paragraph engraving). The default that 2019 is giving me has the tops of some letters overlapping the tails of the string above. I can't find a space adjustment other than creating every string separate so I can window each of them and translate in the Y.
  2. You're welcome Joey. A quick search of HL-2 reveals to me that it is a slant bed with top turret; therefore, the information I gave may not apply to your situation. You could still try it anyways, and see if it brings the result you're looking for. Good luck
  3. Joey, I just ran into this same problem trying to make code for a Haas TL-3. I was using planes as WCS:TOP and CPLANE TPLANE as +D+Z. It occurred to me that I had all my tools set up as top turret and all my entities were on the top side of diameter zero (which is our programming standard for our Hardinge Conquest slant bed). Once I moved my entities to the bottom side of diameter zero and set up my tools as bottom turret, the code came out with X values as positive. A call to an In-House Solutions rep confirmed that indeed this is the proper procedure; he said to make my toolpaths on the screen as they would look on the physical machine. [in a toolpath process, click on tool to edit, then click on "Setup Tool..." and change turret to bottom] This appears to be what Allan refers to in his post. RJ
  4. X6 Answering my own question, but it seems to me there must be a better way : The control definition seems to abhor a vacuum - just deleting the double quote makes them reappear. Deleting the double quote and typing in a single space activates the peck clearance field in the parameter dialog, but removes the words "peck clearance" from beside the input box. Deleting double quote and inserting the words "Peck Clearance" has no effect; the words disappear into the ether and the dreaded double-quote comes back. Typing in a single space, then Peck Clearance, then another single space, made the desired effect. Peck clearance is now activated and produces the desired effect in the post. Now, someone who actually knows the right way to do this stuff can post an answer that describes the proper steps.
  5. Am trying to make said modification in control definition so that I may input a number in the peck clearance field of peck drill - longhand drill cycle parameters. It is currently blanked out and I am having the same issue as WWFCAM with the drill moving in rapid to last depth with no clearance. Here is the problem I am facing: even when I double-click on the double quotes and delete them, then save everything and reload/replace, back in the parameters it is still greyed out. I go back to the control def and the quotes are there again, like it is not letting it save my intended modification.
  6. Sorry this doesn't answer the question, but since you raised the topic on the CANCEL icon: material manager / material library / material list The mastercam folks must want to phase out the use of 6061 aluminum. Don't double click on it; whether you then click on CANCEL or ACCEPT , it deletes 6061 from the list. Dare we call this material delete a bug ? I'd be happier if there were an issue that would remove all instances of METRIC from its files X6 MU3
  7. For legal reasons? Has no one sued yet for repetitive strain on their mouse button finger?
