  1. Peter, Thaks for the reply. I use the Pro/E reader. And the IGES reader. They both work fine, with the exception of the level names coming in. I have permission to send the IGES file to you, Can you please Instruct me on the best way to get it to you. Thanks, Larry
  2. I cannot share the file, sorry, but it is the same with any proe file. Wehave the tranlators, they work fine, with the exception of bringing the name of the levels in.
  3. When taking an IGS file from ProEngineer all data comes thru fine as do layer numbers, parts are on the correct numbered layer. However layer names do not are not being read by X6. We Use layer names for all following procedures. It helps if we have the Level names come in with the IGS files. This appears to be unique to Master Cam as with other software we use the names come through. Thanks for any assistance that can be rendered. Larry

Thanks for any advice

  7. Thanks for the input gentlemen. I will no approach the powers that be with a request. Crazy, I am fowarding your reply as I recieved it, I could not have stateted the position better than you just did. Thanks all
  8. Morning All, Looking for input on the processing speed diffrence between a standard hard drive and a solid state. Also you opinions on the pros and cons of either. Thanks
  9. Morning All, We have recently purchased a ProtoTrack retrofit PTSMX2 for a bridge port. Our Mastercam dealer has fowarded to us a genric 2 axis post (MPROTMC2), for the same. The post seems fine but for the fact I cannot seem to figure out how to force the program to pause upon the execution of a Z axis move. Post processors are defintely not one of my stonger points, but I think I can get it working with a little assistance from the forum. If possible can anyone offer some guidance, or point me in the right direction as to where the fixes would be made. Thanks for your help. Larry
  10. Thanks HardMill, tried that, tried the repair disk, both to no avail, Its a 4axis job on the tombstone, all srufacing toolpaths with 4 instances. Maybe its just alot of info to process. Will keep looking.
  11. Recently starting recieving a "Not Responding" error code in MX6. The program continues to run but very slow. Task manager shows pc runng at about 16%. Any one else seen this?
  12. Morning All. Working off a tombstone, using the front const and tooling plane. I am trying to create an STL file using the current WCS so I can verify. When the Save dialog appears I cannot switch to "Current WCS" , ir remains on World Co ords. I have tried changing defaults in my config files but to no avail. I know I have done this before in earlier versions. I am very greatful for any assistance Using Ver 6MU3 Thanks
  13. Thanks for the inut guys. Gcode did the reinstall bit, worked fine the first time, later we came up with the same error code. Oscar, just tried disconnecting the external drive, and now its working fine. Don't know why, but its a get around for now. Its close to Miller Time, so we will continue Monday. Again, thanks for the help.
  14. Gcode, it seems to be a mastercam problem. This station is not on a net hasp. I am being told there was no MC files copied from anywhere else. This is a new workstation, The only changes made were were the automatic upgrades from Microsoft Windows 7.Code appears as the "begining startup tasks appears."
  15. Morning all, I reloaded MCX4 on a new workstation for one of our people yesterday, it was working fine. This morning we are getting "There is no disk in drive. Please insert disk. \Device\harddisk3\DR3" error Any ideas? Thanks
