  1. I forgot! we are running mastercam 2018. I cant find this option you have shown above..
  2. we have several jobs that come in with large amount of same diameter holes. These jobs are normaly step files. Is there an easy option to select all holes of a given diameter to program. Nothing seams to work here. We have to select every hole seperately. I know there must be an option, but it escapes me, now that I could use it..
  3. cheers a lot. I knew you wouldn't let me down, that's why I stayed around.. Thanks
  4. I'm back behind the wheel of Mastercam. Many moons ago somebody in this forum started an excel sheet with members results for dynamic millng. Is this still available, and where do I find it. Trying to talk other workers into the benifits of dynamic milling. A bit of an uphill strugle. I have done a forum search but not found the link. Thank you..
  5. I'll give it a try today Thanks.
  6. Hello everyone, I'm back in mastercam 2019. New year = New job. Have been programing swiss lathes for a year with swissexpert. Has something changed with 2019, I used to start a Vb script at start up, by writing in the property box of the windows icon. This doesn't appear to function anymore, or am I doing something wrong (new syntax maybe) One of mastercam users wrote a VBscript to load layers with name "csv2levels.vb" anyone still using it, and able to point me in the right direction. "C:\Program Files\Mcam2019\Mastercam.exe" C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared Mcam2019\VB\csv2levels.vb Thank you in advance..
  7. Just started back in Mastercam from a 3 year break. using 2018 where is the command to draw a circle or an arc, tangent to 1 line, and through a point. I gave up looking this evenning..
  8. we have just installed 2018 design, and everytime I am finished with a drawing, and close mastercam. Mastercam comes up with a message that something has gone wrong, and mastercam is restarting.. This is slowly driving me mad. Anyone else having this problem...Might do a fresh install, if this is only me. Thanks guys
  9. Hi everyone, and happy new year. New job, and just installed Mcam 2018, and already a little problem but only with graphics. I have done a search but found nothing. Under configuration or option you had the possibility to turn center points off. Is this still available, as when I need text in my document, there is loads of tiny center dots. Anyone able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
  10. Thanks. Now for decimal place output and leading zero settings...
  11. It's been a long time. I have tried finding with the forum search function but no luck.. Our little machine must have a "R" output with "G2/G3" it will not accept "IJK". Anyone able to tell me where to set this, in control def, machine def, or in post.. We are using a MPFAN post for the little machine.. Thank you if you can help..
  12. after 10 years with the same company, machining electrodes on a 5 axis roeders, I have been offered and accepted a new job in another firm. They have swiss style machines there, and that is what I have to learn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. found it thanks.. Shame we only use canned rough.. Oh well..
  14. I have been machining Electrodes with mastercam for 10 years now. As mentioned earlier you may need another software to manipulate the solid model. 2017 solids handling is a lot better than when I started electrode machining with X2..
