  1. How about just making hole axis on all of the screw holes, i select helix entry under roughing... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/102zxdlc6ypoebx/AABV539JRjYfMYjKOOzJs6c6a?dl=0
  2. just leave it in 5 axis. you only get "a" moves
  3. how about morph?...pick the two lines...pick the surface. https://www.dropbox.com/s/h0jmhi5vh14asks/5%20AXIS%20CURVE%20TEST.mcx-9?dl=0
  4. all you really need is something to tell the machine to cycle again. un clamp is an m code at the end of program. if you have a servo door you can use a prox. switch that can call the robot into machine when the door goes up. clamp is an m code at the beginning of the program. the only thing the robot needs to know to do a pallet pick is when the door opens. and all the machine needs to know is when the door closes
  5. So you have a full 4th horizontal with a 5th axis pointed towards the spindle??? Start with a vertical 5axis post with a y tilting axis. More information?
  6. maybe some day it will work with wear?
  7. your only cutting with the bottom of the tool...what are you talking about?
  8. http://www.harveytool.com/prod/Browse-Our-Products/Application-Specific-Designs/Mold-Tool---Die_185/Mold-Cutters---Ball---For-Steels_180.aspx these ones go down to .015..
  9. i use alot of these...real nice cutters https://www.mitgi.us/product-category/Stub-Ball-Micro-End-Mills-12x-Reach/
  10. those mits mills come from japan... lead time is always an issue with them
  11. because it's the process you develop not how difficult the software is that really adds value?
  12. You could also transform your geometry to different z depths and chain the multiple levels you want to use. typically driving off the bottom of the tool you have to do some math for the top cut. Sometimes, I chain the top chain of the undercut and put a minus on the floor of the cutter width of cut. Ill assign this a different H offset. Than in a different assign the bottom chain of the undercut the normal h number. This is good if you have to hold a tight depth and location for your undercut. This is a problem that i think deserves it's own path with different variables to define and control the cut.
