  1. Hi Guys, Thanks for your ideas. I found a Heidenhain 530 user. He told me that if the datum in the controller setting is correct, when you put X0, Y0, C0 the rotary table's 0 degree should align to the new datum's X axis or whatever axis should be aligned. So the problem is the operator didn't set correctly in the machine.
  2. Hello, I just got a case use head-head 5 axis machine with Heidenhain iTNC530 controller and probe. The 5 axis NC program I create is working well in the VeriCut simulation. But when the operator clamp the material with a C rotate by probe, the tool angle got problem as my picture. It should be a flat surface by flat end-mill machining, but my tool angle is wrong. When I use wheel to move the spindle, the X and Y can align withe the material. Is there any setting on the controller missing? Or I need to add some M code in the NC code to let the controller to add the rotate angle to the toolpath? Thank you! Hans
  3. Hi Guys, Thanks for all the information. Finally I got the reason of that: Disply Setting. I'm using win 7 OS. In control Panel, the display default is Mediumn - 125%, but I changed to Smaller - 100%. Problem solved after I changed back to default. I did one more test for Larger - 150% setting, the picture at right would be cut a little bit, but the new problem is the window becomes too big that I can not hit OK button. For your information, I'm using Dell M4600, resolution is 1920 x 1080 (The recommended and the highest option) Thanks for all the hints which let me find out the problem!
  4. I haven't use Multiaxis toolpath for a awhile. Today, I try to do one toolpath but I found that the toolpath setting window got some problem!! The picture at right is been cut as my attachement. If only the picture is cut would be fine. But, in Collision Control tag, the icon at right side of the table is been cut also. (See the other attached picture) Then I can not define the checking surface! I tried to change my laptop resolution, icon size setting, connect to a external screen. Nothing help! Could any one help me to fix it? Is there a setting in Mastercam I should change? Thanks.
  5. Hi, I'm just thinking highfeed can accomplish dynamic feed rate to reduce the machining time and maintain the quality. I thought highfeed can apply on all 2D & 3D toolpaths is it? If I'm correct, why don't we reduce the time as much as possible? Further, I'm very interested in the theory of the dynamic feed rate generation and the limit setting. Is the dynamic feed rate already apply on other toolpath? Are they as effective as highfeed?
  6. Hi guys, I know highfeed function in mastercam is not new. But as a beginner for mastercam I still don't know how to master it! After went through all the information and document I can find from the internet, I still have a question "How to define Max & Min feed rate in highfeed?" Should it considers more about the machine ability or the tool ability? Or there is a table or what could be reference? I saw another post said "Look at Chris Rizzo's thread and chart for Highfeed machining". Could any one give me some help? BTW, from an old newsletter there is a link "www.mastercam.com/highfeed" for more detail info. But the page is not there anymore. Does anyone keep the "detailed V9 Highfeed Machining overview PowerPoint file" or other document can share to me? Thanks Hans
