  1. Just wanted to mention that we run resulting code in HAAS TL-2 lathe, so it may me necessary to tweak script a little if you use different control.
  2. It was almost exactly what I used to do as well! Glad it can be useful to you. Cheers!
  3. Made a little Python-powered tool to convert contour information to lathe G-code. It's nothing sofisticated, just a starting point to make a code to occasionaly turn simple parts on a lathe. Usage: 1. Install latest Python interpreter. 2. Start the tool by typing this in command interpreter: python contour_gui.py 3. In Mastercam, copy contour information (Analyze contour) 4. Paste resulting contourinformation into the tool by pressing "Paste contour data" button 5. Type in your tool, allowance and feed information accordingly. 6. Press "Convert and copy to clipboard" button 7. Paste resulting G-code to your favourite editor and edit to your heart content. contour_gui.py
  4. Doesn't help, still the same behaviour. It DOES help to select "Depth=0", but I still think that this is a bug.
  5. Hi! Mastercam Version 24.0.19884.0 In the example part below after entering "Toolpath Hole definition" dialog I check "Wireframe->Arcs" and "Diameter=8.0" in "Select all" quick mask dialog. But besides correct geometry this selects things that have wrong entity types and even wrong diameter. Thoughts? Thanks
  6. Hi! Mastercam Version 24.0.19884.0 In Mastercam 2022 order of operations in "Import Toolpath Operations" dialog doesn't match with what I see when I open "*.mcam-operations" file directly. Now all of my operation groups is in arbitrary order. It used to work in 2021 if I remember correctly. Anyone have a solution? Thanks
  7. Hi! My graphic card is Nvidia Quadro K2000 and driver version 382.05 is installed. When I start Mastercam, Windows disables Aero interface. Disabling hardware acceleration in Mastercam setting seems to "solve" the problem. But I downgraded to older version of driver of course. Everything working as before again. Anyone experience the same problem?
  8. Aha, found answer myself! I just choose "Edit" and manipulate gnomon...
  9. Hej! In X9 i could open Plane manager, right click on plane and choose "Rotate incremental..." and "Rotate dynamic...". But in 2017 I have just "Rotate incremental...". Where did othe option go? Thanks!
  10. Hej! There's option in X9 and earlier versions in "Configuration->CAD settings": "Update Cplane when changing Gview". I can't find it in 2017. Where did it go?
  11. Got link on reddit to Interesting discussion about number of drill flutes: http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/cnc-machining/hss-twist-drills-118074/
  12. So, for now, I just wrote a quick SQL-command, which changed all "Number of flutes" values for drills in tool database.
