Hey guys,
I've had this issue before, and it's back worse than ever. Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix it.. it's driving me insane.
PC: Windows 10 64bit.
i7-2600 3.4GHz
12Gig RAM
Nvidia Quadro P2000
And my monitor is a samsung 34" ultrawide running 3440x1440(have tried both 60hz and 100hz refresh rates http://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/led-sd300/LC34F791WQEXXY/
I've added a video of what happens, but basically i have a model open, go to translate it etc, and the screen flashes white a few times.
This is an older box, with a new GPU and screen attached. Used to run a GeForce with twin smaller monitors. My Movie.mp4
Any help would be VERY appreciated.
Cheers
Matt
Yeah i figured as much.. cheers
Thanks for all the info guys. After a few hours googling etc today, i've gone with the P2000 as it gets some good reviews by CAD users, and it's within budget.
Not sure if it matters, but I'm not currently doing any cutter paths, just design in mastercam and solid works.
But definitely want to buy once, buy right this time.
Hey guys, decided to ditch my twin monitors in favour of a single ultra wide. My current gforce card is out of its depth and can't run the native res of 3440x1440. I've known for some time I should be running a quadro, my question is, which one ??
whats good bang for buck in the quadro range that has DisplayPort output ?
Will I notice much difference between 2, 4 and 8gb ?
Cheers
Matt
So i received an email from Mastercam this week, just the usual stuff. Mastercam Tutorials, Post Development Innovations.. bla bla bla
No mention of this bug. WHY ?
What of the people that have installed the first version of MU1, who don't frequent this forum and are yet to have a crash ? Would it be that hard for Matsercam to include something in their bulk/group email ?
Again, why wait for them to stuff a job? Let them know first ! Really wouldn't be that difficult...
Yeah have seen it now.
Both the above files have sections where the roughing/semi finishing programs has taken a negative amount of stock off too.. Think i'll just stick with SP2 for now.
Bit of both...
Ran the red backplot in an afternoon rush to get out the door, next morning, broken cutter and a job that needs welding.
The green backplot is different, it only fails to retract once. I also ran it the same afternoon but seems it did retract during machining.
Just did a system restore back to X7 SP2 and the problem is gone(see screen shots, full retracts at every rapid move unlike the screen shots above)... These are pretty basic programs, would love to know what the issue is.
Updated to MU1 yesterday, and yesterday had 2 programs that fail to retract and rapid straight through cavity wall/upstanding core.
Files attached. Not too happy...

Hey guys, see attached image, i want to know how to permanently change the defaults marked in red. Put up with this for years and years, then about a year or 2 ago i finally got them set as i wanted, but for some reason in the last week or so the defaults have reset. So now every new job i start i have to go and change the Tool Settings.
Basically i want a default program number of "1" instead of "0"
I don't want the default material as alluminium, i want it as "none"
And i want "assign tool numbers sequentially", "warn of duplicate tool number" and "use tools step, peck, coolant" always turned on.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. It's doing my head in ! And my reseller isn't much help...
Thanks
Matt
