  1. Greetings Has anyone taken a MRI file and brought it into Mastercam? Not 2d but a 3D MRI File. Also from what I have learned a CATSCAN is a true 3D file and it is better to use. What conversations are availabe for a MRI or a CATSCAN is availabe for export? George
  2. Greetings from South Florida Yes keep the forum going. I know a lot of instructors will go to the site once they learn of it. Most of all someone has to tell them or show them the way to the site. Yes, there are a few instructors who do not know how to use a computer for Web Surfing or even send just plain email. Would you believe that? But they do a GREAT Job in teaching Mastercam. Keep up the good work with the forum. Best regards, George PS For useless knowlege see www.cadcamcnc.com/stories.htm [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: cadcamcnc ]

  4. Hi I teach both in a Vocational Trade School where my students are from industry. I also teach on site to industry and use Books by CNC Software and Inhouse. Best of all I teach how to use the help menu in Mastercam. Most of your answers can come from there. It is all content sensitive help. I find the best way to teach Mastercam inhouse at a company is to get some prints and make your own "lesson plans." This way you will teach what nees to be taught and not some useless knowledge. See www.cadcamcnc.com/stories.htm what I have proven in teaching Mastercam. Best regards, George
  5. Greetings I have been using Mastercam for 10 or 11 years now. I have found it to have the best translators around. We bring all files with no problems at all. For some "useless knowledge" see http://www.cadcamcnc.com Very Best Regards, George PS Contact [email protected] his name is George and I have worked with him for over 15 years. He is a top notch person and tells it like it is. George is a teacher in one of the oldest "trade" schools in the US. It is now called Worcester Vocational Technical HS. I know MIT and WPI and believe Univ of Lowell use Masetercam and CADKEY you can check with them as far as I know they are all happy campers. 6. You bet training is great and to use a tool such as Mastercam is just another tool in your tool box. But that tool puts money in your pocket more often than not. The comments at www.cadcamcnc.com/stories.htm about Stu Anders is a true to life story. It has been in many publications and in the local newspapers in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Florida. from the first time he started taking my classes/training untill his first order with Sears and Robuck was 22 months. what he makes is a socket holder that Sears carries in all there stores. It is made out of plastic and more expensive than the regular one sears sells but the customer knows what they want and buy his Socket Holder. Stu knew a little about computers and knew what a drill press was and that was the extent of his knowledge before taking my classes 2 days a week for about 36 weeks. Oh by the way his first order for the Socket Holders was for 200,000 pieces. Then the next order was for 500,000 pieces. Not bad for a newbie learning Mastercam. This forum is what it is all about, to put money in your pockets and make a goood living for you and your family. 7. Greetings I think the educational forum is a GREAT idea. There is a need for it. I have been trying to get a group going here in Southern Florida also a location to have meetings. I would be very happy to share any knowledge with other people. See http://www.cadcamcnc.com/stories.htm and see what can be done with sharing and helping each other. Very Best Regards, George Tamalavich CADCAMCNC Technologies Fort Lauderdale, Florida [email protected] Would the moderator please contact me via email.
