K Chuck, followed directions, when advanced config window opens it says classic backplot & next coloumn says enable,so its enabled right? I still cant get backplot to do anything.Which icon should i be using the 1st 2nd or 3rd? & once i choose proper icon which choices do i want to shade to see my toolpath shaded?
Using X8,another post had mentioned classic backplot, dont know what/where it is.Im using the icons at top of toolbar to try backplotting as I always have (in X4) 1st icon is Backplot selected operations 2nd one is Verify selected operations 3rd one is Backplot/Verify options. So that doesnt work anymore in X8?
I set my origin on my 2D graphics which are usually rectangular by using XFORM ,move to origin,& the intersection icon,I choose the top & left lines which puts my origin upper left corner. My version 8 moves the origin there but adds another line at about 30 degrees going thru the part.Is this something new for version 8 or do I have something configured wrong?
On my version 4 when I used backplot I had a shaded area the same width as my tool that showed the toolpath around the part that I was contouring.
I cant get anything at all out of my version 8.Is this something thats changed on version 8,or is there something Im not doing right?
Wheres Classic backplot? Wheres new backplot? I cant find those.I have 3 options #1=Backplot selected operations,#2=Verify selected operations,#3=Backplot/Verify options.
And no,when I backplot a seperate graphics window doesnt appear. All I can get out of it is a tool that shows up way above my graphics & doesnt move.
And when I backplot a drill cycle it only shows the 1st hole not all of them like version 4 used to do.
Im choosing tools from my tool library that I set up.When they appear in my operations the S&F arent whats in them, furthermore when I right click to edit them, make the edits under Finalize Properties, they still dont show properly in my Operations.Am I doing something wrong or is something not downloaded properly?
Lets start at the beginning...when I want to verify my toolpath which verify icon should I use out of the 3 choices? The 1st one,the 2nd one or the 3rd one? I generally have been using the 1st one. Then which choices should I have hilited in the Backplot window? The only one I have hilited is Quick Verify. I tried using each one individually & i get lots of geometry that wont clean up off of my original geometry when i get out of Backplot.
Changed the Backplot setting to verify color as mentioned, when I open Backplot (using the 1st icon) the only one I have hilited is Quick Verify, nothing shows, what am I doing wrong?
Im choosing tools from a library that I created,I figured out how to renumber the tool but when it shows up on parameters page the head number is different,is this new to 8 or am I doing it wrong?
2nd to last in top row is a backward 3 inside a square,my question is;when ive called up Settings then call up Config then go to colors what do I want to select in the drop down list to change?
I just loaded MCAMX-8 & when I do a Backplot Im used to seeing a colored toolpath the same width as my selected tool.Im not seeing anything except a fine line of my rough & finish passes. What do I have to choose under Settings/Color to change the color of that particular option? My background is dark blue so it must be set the same & thats why I cant see it?
I called up a 2d file that I want to delete everything around it & only keep what i have inside the window,on version4 I could choose up top to delete Inside or Outside the window.Wheres that option now?
Dunno John, thats all handled by the IT guys.Im following directions to change screen color but not working? Picking Settings,Config,Colors,Graphics background color, picking dark blue, hitting the + sign & nothings happening,do you have to restart computer to see change?
