  1. Hello, I logged in today because I got a message about this on Github. It looks like this broke in the next release due to mastercam changing the library they use to manipulate active reports. If there is anyone who can take this project over it would be helpful. I reached out to one user in my inbox who has fixed it before. Unfortunately, I switched to Fusion when I started my shop and no longer has access to the software I need to fix this report. I could help diagnose any errors by reading message & code, but I do not have access to the software. Thanks
  2. It would only slow down the program that is tied to the cloud server rather than the whole computer. I'd look for malware, check if your anti-virus is set to overdrive, look large-footprint browser extensions, and check memory utilization, probably in that order. If it's an older computer adding a solid state drive can be helpful. If you want to measure the network traffic on your computer there is a simple tool named Glasswire
  3. Although some terms of service agreements may have been vague in the past, this is a complete hyperbole. Most agreements I have read explicitly state that you retain ownership of your data, although you may be giving certain rights to the service provider. Even if you can not use a service provider like Google or Amazon because of contractual obligations or restrictions in your business model, you can fairly easily host your own "cloud" services using your own hardware at your company. Cloud computing is more or less just a colloquialism for applications built using a service-oriented architecture. We've been using systems like this for a very long time anyway
  4. "Cloud" services are applications that run on another company's servers and are generally accessible over the internet. There are a lot of different kinds of lag and your IT guy is the person most capable of figuring out what the issue is. Are you using Adobe Acrobat or are you referring to the PDF file format? If you're using a free PDF editor it's very likely that the one you picked is just a piece of crap. The market for cheap PDF editors is literally flooded with junk of questionable quality. Pay for an Acrobat license.
  5. This is a good one. Be very clear about your payment terms and realize that you do not have to go net 30 (may want to go 10 or 15 for skilled labor), and that you may be able to xxxx interest or a penalty fee on overdue items. I personally think it's important to understand the entire debt management process from how to properly invoice to what steps you need to take when you aren't getting paid.
  6. +1 for incorporation. Pay someone really good to help you with your information processes early on as IT is one of the most significant labor multipliers in any business these days. For important proprietary information, like your programs, you need to use some kind of redundant storage with off-site backup. By the way, you can purchase a domain and use gmail as the service provider. That is how I use my email: [email protected]
  7. Post a list of requirements and I'll make you the best damn in process sheet you've ever seen.
  8. What kind of probe is it? Do you have the manuals for it? It should have come with canned cycles.
  9. Do you have a probe installed in the machine? There may be something that you are missing, but the parameter should be Parameter 3708 bit 0 (Spindle Speed Arrival Signal) SAR
  10. There may be a "right now" workaround for this, but I don't know when I will be able to get to testing it. Here is the gist for anyone who is capable and motivated: Since at least AR version 6 there seems to be classes for converting the reports to Excel, HTML, RTF, and Plain Text. The term they use is "Export Filters". We should be able to use these classes in the Script tab, but there may be some limitations. The documentation sucks so it will be trial and error. Since there is no definite timeline to these features in MasterCAM yet it's something I'm open to working on. It's too bad CNC software doesn't share their roadmap like my game Insurgency does.
  11. This is tricky because the WCS-PLANE-COMMENT is attached to the Operation rather than the offset. The Offset seems to contain information about the Operations though so we may able to use some code to fanagle it into the offset list.
