  1. Hey mls I'm having some programming drama's with our new Fidia . Have you got much know how on Fidia plane shifting "G21 RX RY RZ VX CY CZ " ?
  2. Totaly agree feel like i have been trudging through mud for a few weeks now , Yesterday had a full 10 hours of productive time and good breakthroughs feeling quite chuffed. I'll keep you updated on how i get on but I think we have (this issue at least ) licked
  3. yea i get that had a good win today, i think it may be post related output a similar function and the plane shift line had the same specs as the sample I posted but the b and c moves where wrong B-15 {should of been B15} and C180 {should of been C0}. but then on another example of the same procedure just on a different plane it appeared correct. in the first instance I corrected the B and C moves and it ran fine. {haven't proven the second and third instance yet} So i guess I'm going to keep building an information bank to give postabilaty a fighting chance of working out a viable edit.
  4. so I tried plenty of different setups with the G21 and only got worse results, it appers only one axis is being rotated and from what I read in the programming manual the code should be right. I'm wondering if it's a control setting or parameter may not correct, that's why I'm trying to find some Fidia guru's to pick there brain. Fidia have been great for tech support but with the time zone and language difficulties i thought I would cast a wider net. in relation to the kinematics will my machine def have a bearing on that ?
  5. yea for the most part. the learning curve is flattening out a little still heaps of head scratching going on as i don't have anyone in the shop to teach me. And to make it harder I keep getting all the curly " that will easy as on the 5 axis" job's any of you 5axis guys got any feedback about this one
  6. Hey guys any of you got any experience on Fidia C10 Stuff ?. We have a retro fitted Okuma 5 axis with a c10 and I'm just looking for a few guys with a bit of a knowledge base to help me out. I have got 90% of my day to day and regular driving sorted out and quite happy ..... but I do still have a few questions, and when I do get stuck it can be a real grind trying to find solutions as there is not a lot of practical solution's to be found online. The main issue I'm having at the moment is with my g20 g21 program rotation doesn't seem to be working correctly. the rotation of the plane shift shows up in the ROTANG {program rotation} dialog screen but when the program runs the axis shift doesn't seem to be correct. Could one of you more worldly gent's please take a look and help a brother out. I have added a zip2go of the file the tool path in question is the 90 deg facing cycle towards the end of the part. 140401-100-01.ZIP
  7. Thanks for all the feed back guys the only issue was with my re-seller getting the info through. we have got some great traction now that our edits are getting to postability, every edit has fixed every issue we have had so far. big up's
  8. I to have been really underwhelmed by our service too. we pay top dollar and get bugger all and made to feel that we are lucky to get what that. e-mailed prosoft (our rep) friday morning about the issue got a reply late Tues. The reply didn't even relate to the post question! i only got a hard sell on some mastercam-u papers. so frustrated is any one here versed in FIDIA code ?
  9. Sweet guys I'll see how I get on :-)
  10. What about dialing up tool paths do I have to use multi axis or can I use regular toolpaths? Do you have to use the "convert to 5axis".
  11. Yea nice thanks, I thought as much. So for that stuff would you just set up a plane as I have and just for arguments sake do a peel mill and set wcs top, T & C set to plane XXX ?
  12. Hey guys been slamming mastercam for a while on 4 axis stuff no drama's. We have just got a new to us okuma 5 axis vmc. It has 360 deg table turn © and pivot head (. I have been playing with this part without any luck could one of you 5 axis guru's give me a bit of an in sight on how I might program the slot's on this part ? one of the most confusing issues is that my X and Y moves seem to be around the wrong way when I post ( this may be a post issue )? I am putting the heat on my boss to get the multi axis training from mastercam, Dose anyone have any feed back on that also? Any information would be great thanks guys PR01 BL-1002.ZIP
  13. Hey guys just setting up our new okuma post looks ok so far. But on tool calls it outputs M6 T.1 . how can i remove the . before the the number is that a master cam setting or a post issue ?
  14. I stand corrected, thanks a lot for your help man
  15. Hey guys i'm setting up a roughing cycle with opti rough and can't get it to see any stock got me stumped ?? could some please have a look and see if they can see what i'm doing wrong. I have done this type of stuff countless time's but seem to be stumped WELD TEST.mcam
