  1. Thanks a lot bd41612, I managed to get rid of those duplicate toold numbers thanks to you and the debugger. There's one thing I cannot figure out though is that for every C axis toolpaths, the post will always output 00 for offset number, regardless of the tool number, like this: "T0700" I would like the post to ouput like this: "T0707" Any ideas?
  2. I've never used the post debugger, how can I use it?
  3. For some reason that I really don't know and been trying to figure out without any success, is whenever I have any of the lathe c-axis toolpaths, it will double post tool numbers at start of tool, and also post tool number at the end. ( 5/32 FLAT ENDMILL) G28 U0. T0600 <------------ T0012 <------------ G0 X.8325 Z.2 C0. M8 G97 S2500 M44 . . . . G113 G1 G40 X.8125 G0 Z.2 M9 T0600 <----------- G28 U0. H0. M45 M01 I'm looking simply to have a single tool block (T0606)
  4. Thank you bd41612, that did the trick! Right now my post outputs feed on my peck drill cycle in inch per rev, I need them to be in inch per minute, any ideas?
  5. Thank you! that did it, How can I get the depth to be outputted in tenths? For example, .100" would be Q1000.
  6. Hi all! I'm trying to get my post to ouput depth of cut on a canned drill cycle, I've not been successful in doing so. Here's my postblock for my canned drilling cycle: ldrill$ #Canned drill cycle, lathe #Use this postblock to customize lathe drilling cycles 0 - 7 pdrlcommonb pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrlref, pgdrlout, pxout, pyout, pzout, prdrlout, dwell$, pffr, strcantext, e$ pcom_movea pcanceldcl This is the result code: G98 G83 Z-.052 R.1 F.01
  7. Had the same problem, I almost got everything fixed, but for some reason the post wont output the cutting depth (for example Q1000) Here's my drilling post block: ldrill$ #Canned drill cycle, lathe #Use this postblock to customize lathe drilling cycles 0 - 7 pdrlcommonb pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrlref, pgdrlout, pxout, pyout, pzout, prdrlout, dwell$, pffr, strcantext, e$ pcom_movea pcanceldcl I get this result : G98 G83 Z-1.2432 R0. F4.11 Any ideas?
  8. I have this .igs file that the customer have provided to me with and I would like to analyze to get the dimensions like radius and distance, but when I analyze a surface for example, it does not give me any dimensions whatsoever, it only tells me its a trimmed nurbs surface with the amount of control points. Also, when I create an edge curve from the models surfaces, the result is a very choppy, faceted arc. I'm really new to model imports in mastercam, any help greatly appreciated!
  9. Hey all, I have a lathe part that I have to program on x8, customer has sent me the 3d model (.step file) and I want to "create turn profile" so I don't have to draw the geometry. I'm familiar doing this from a solidworks file but when I click the check on the "create turn profile" with the imported step file's dialog box, nothing happens. Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks a lot to all for the help, at this point I guess I have no other option than to contact my dealer.
  11. Sorry I'm not too advanced with mastercam nor it's terminology, what is mi and mr?
  12. I'm actually using Axis substitution under the "C Axis contour toolpath", It's some flat text that I have drawn that I wish to cross engrave but the generated code has no arcs at all and is overwhelmly long! I wish to use the machine's G107 capability. Arcs are enabled in the MD/CD
  13. Thanks a lot for the help but unfortunately, even after changing the contour type to "ramp", I still get the same posting results.
  14. @jayemvw : What do you mean by "ramping"? I am using mcx8, I do not see such parameter in the cut parameters.
