  1. Hi all, Currently, i have it so that my post, post out the tool number as a N number value before the tool is run. So that it can be searched for easier in the program when you just want to run that tool. What I would like the post to do is to post out right after the N number for the tool, another n number that is the instance count of that tool in the program. So when the tool is ran multiple times I can just keep searching down on the instances of that tool till i find the X time that is used. This is what it does now (WCS NAME - OP20 TOP) (COMPENSATION TYPE - COMPUTER) N23 T23 M06 (0.375 BULL-NOSED ENDMILL) (MAX - Z.133) (MIN - Z-.267) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 M11 (UNLOCK) This is what i looking for it to do (WCS NAME - OP20 TOP) (COMPENSATION TYPE - COMPUTER) N23 N0002 T23 M06 (0.375 BULL-NOSED ENDMILL) (MAX - Z.133) (MIN - Z-.267) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 M11 (UNLOCK)
  2. Thanks for the input. That works pretty well the only problems that I have with it is that it will post the feed out on ever line and that it leaves spaces in between the feed rate. Is there a way that I could define a new line line this the enter it into my line? also, how to i get it to suppress it on evrey instance after? spaces$=0 newfeed = pbld, "F", 91, myfeed , 42, 35, "997", 93, e$ spaces$=1 pcan1, pbld, n$, sgfeed, sgplane, `sgcode, sgabsinc, pccdia, pxout, pyout, pzout, pcout, newfeed, strcantext, scoolant, e$
  3. What kinda machine is it? Some machines like the makino I run use a m129 to run that, sets it ipr for tapping then plus it out of ipr when g80. But if you want to do it in the post just need to add a g94 witch you can set in mi6 of you miscellaneous integers in mastercam parameters. Just make sure it sets back to g95 or you will be in for a supreme next tool path!
  4. Hi everyone first time posting anything on here, usually just use this site to do some stalking for ideas on posts. I finally ran into a post issue that I can't figure out on my own. Anyways, in our shop we are running makino a51's and mori nh4000 and usually we use top solid for programming but because there is so many bugs in top solid, we are moving back to mastercam and I am trying to get the post to mimic what we had in top solid. One of the things that would post out from the top solid post was a variable feed rate so we could change the feed rate global from the controller looks something like this F[40.*#997]. I only want it post out on linear moves. i.e not tap cycles! Any ideas?
