  1. Hi everyone, I had a Haas tech in the other day working in my VF 5 fixing an acceleration issue on the Y and X axes of the machine. He was able to solve it completely but for some reason the pocket return speed and delay are way longer than what they were. I'm just asking if anyone knows the parameter #'s that control this as the Haas tech is on assignment elsewhere for the next few weeks. Thanks, -Adam
  2. I know that this is an old topic but I found the other day that this problem re-surfaced in Mastercam 2018. Thought I'd post a fix that worked outside of the post edits for me. Under Machine Definition enter your Control Definition menu and click on the 'Tool' section. Under 'Tool offset registers' check 'Add to tool' and enter zero in both fields. Then under the 'Tool number options (post)' section make sure the 'Use the head number to 'add' for the offset registers' box is checked as well. Then save your control and machine definitions. Once assign tool numbers sequentially is checked in your tool options this should solve the problem.
  3. Sooooo finally got it working and it looks like it was either the # outside the [] or the fact that I was nesting my programs too many levels deep for the controller. Either way I ended up putting everything into a single program and now it works flawlessly every time. Thanks for the help guys. Here is my final product in case anyone else is looking for something similar or just a base they can modify for what they need. If you have any questions about the program just send me a message at [email protected]. This was a pain to make but fun to learn some tricks along the way. 9. @dstyr: The controller defaults to M11 on startup. There is no way to test the A-axis without it. @MTB: The M10 appears to be a standard command on this controller (I'm assuming you were asking if it ran a subprogram like M6 does with a tool change.). I'll take your suggestion and see if I can get a hold of someone in tech support. Thanks.
  10. Hey, trying to sort out the final issues with my rotary A axis. I'm using an RT-160 model on a Doosan DNM 500 VMC with a Fanuc i-series controller. The issue I'm having is that the controller stops on the M10 when the axis locks. It reads the M11 perfectly fine and proceeds with the A-axis rotation but when it hits the M10 it locks the axis and does not continue with the program. Has anyone else run into the issue, or have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Any help is appreciated
  11. So I took a look in the post I was using and sure enough the ret_on_index setting was a 1 instead of a 0. Tested it out at 0 and everything is working perfectly now. Thanks for the suggestions
  12. Hi there, Need a bit of help, Im working in MX-7 for a Fanuc controller. I am machining 3 slots around a diameter held in the A axis chuck mounted to the table of a VMC. When I post out my toolpaths all of the rotations are correct and it works fine but for some reason the Axes return to the home positions and the spindle stops before the A axis will rotate. Is there a way to fix this so that the tool only returns to the clearance plane I have specified at Z8.0 and the spindle does not stop? Here is some of the code: G01 Z1.2625 F60. X0. F40.
