  1. Is there any setting in Mastercam X9 that could all of the sudden cause my waterline tool paths to start cutting under size like there is some kind of 3D cutter comp turned on? For example I had 2 round parts that needed a radius on the top edge. One was a .007 radius and one was a .012 radius. They both came out 2/3 the size they were supposed to. Both are being cut in VMCs. I even tried re cutting one in our Mikron instead of the Roeders to see if it was a machine issue and it came out the same. I am cutting them both with a 1mm ball end mill and using a waterline like I said earlier. The only thing that has changed since this started is that there was an issue with my profile not being able to open Mastercam on my PC so the IT guy created a new profile for me on the computer and reinstalled Mastercam. Thats what makes me think there might be a software issue. 2D toolpaths work fine and I looked at the waterline program and there does not appear to be any normal comp codes being posted with the code.
  2. Where do i turn on the X+ tool sheet function and add it to my tool bar? I am using X9.
  3. Thanks. I opened it with Mastercam Code Expert and it worked great.
  4. How do I go about opening a post so I can edit it? The shop I work for is trying to switch to Esprit so they cancelled their Mastercam maintenance contract. I am using X9. They are Outlook Data Files so when I try to open one from the list I get an error message.
  5. How do I get a hybrid tool path to act like the old blend tool path. The blend was great for doing parts like these. I need the tool to start on the inner boundary and go up the inside angle then across the top and down the outside angle. Its the only way to keep this material burr free and sharp on top. The step over will be much smaller. I had to increase it so the file was small enough to upload test.mcx-9
  6. Does anyone know why in the simulation this part shows that it is rotating as it is being engraved but does not when the program is run in the machine? Am I using the wrong tool path? FLAME GRIP.mcx-9
