  1. I know someone here can help me. I don't do material costs on a daily bases. I need a idea how much $ it would be for a 7075 chunk of Aluminum .25" X 1.75" X 6.0" ?
  2. x4 Will 5 axis multisurf always follow the u-v direction of the surface or can you change that without recreating the original surface ? The part is 5 axis walls with a curved surface for the floor , The floor surface was created on an angle to the walls and will not follow the direction of the walls. Sorry I cannot upload any file. Other thing is I thought that 5 axis Flowline would follow the u-v and I also thought that Multisurf was kinda like 3d Parallel where you could set and angle for the cut ...guess I was wrong ? Thanks for any help
  3. Thanks for the laugh The_Evil_Machinist Great use for the machine
  4. I found that shutting off "true solids" will ushally fix the problem but you can't move the model afterwards.
  5. X3 MU1 - X2 mr2 Does anyone else have the same problem , I just want to copy some wireframe stuff to another level , Highlight what you want ,right mouse button click on Level box & copy to level ...when I do this to a blank level it NEVER works. I have noticed that I can COPY when the level I'm coping to have stuff in it already ,but if its a NEW level it NEVER works. I always end up translate zero then MOVE result to new level ....Anyone ? Am I not doing this the right way ?...another way to do it ?
  6. ya you are and thanks for the response , I figured it out later. Thanks again
  7. thank you for your help I will send and email in the next couple of days ,I would like to write this myself with help from you if you would be so kind ....Thanks
  8. Hi ,doing multiple parts in fixture ,trying to pick drill points from arcs. I want to do this with NO point sorting at all, every time I do this the system seems to always filter on dia for some reason , When you goto the point geometry box sorting is off ...something I'm missing here ? X2 mr2
  9. wondering if anyone has a way to create standard comments in the comments box for toolpaths ....example "SEMI FINISH" ,maybe a way to hook up a drop down menu or something like that ?I made a list in a text file of things so now I copy and paste but it would be nice to hook this text file up to a drop down box somehow ? dave
  10. try create constant parameter curve, should give you an arc on the surface ,you may have to flip the direction with the arrow key.
  11. thanks for the replys ,but I found an excellent program to do this http://www.langover.com/ works great again thank you... wondering Now if anyone has a way to create standard comments in the comments box for toolpaths ....example "SEMI FINISH" hate having to type these things over and over ,maybe a way to hook up a drop down menu or something like that , that would have a list of comments that you could use over and over without retyping ? I made a list in a text file of things so now I copy and paste but it would be nice to hook this text file up to a drop down box somehow ?
  12. I like to use upper case in the comments box for toolpaths ,sometimes I have typed them in lower case. Is there an EASY way to change without retype .
