  1. Yes i would definitely benefit from learning post editing, that's the main reason i came to this forum, i was risking someone helping me with an example, because there are many other stuff i want to change in this post that i got from the MACH3 website. But i'll follow your lead. By the way i understood the guy up there, the pst file is editable ? Is there a program or users do it by hand?
  2. Could you show me how? I'm a newbie. Like a picture or so.
  3. Hi, i have a custom machine that i recently build to machine aluminum and steel. As it uses MACH3, i've found a post processor on the OEM website and it's doing fine, The only problem is that it generates a code "G28" at the end of the program that returns the spindle to the reference location or my 0's machine coordinates. I really don't want that, it's a waste of time, because i need to measure my part, so i would want for it to instead of going to my 0's machine, it went next to my door so i could most easily reach the part with a caliper. The lines of code generated are these that i attached. So i ask, it's possible to modify that lines are generated on the end of the program, before the M30 command?
  4. Hello again, i took a look around the "?" option in MasterCAM and realized a lot of things, it's a very helpful guide. Also ran exhaustively testing, found some nice parameters related to program size, machinining workflow and surface finishing, thanks a lot guys. Sorry for the delay.
  5. Okay, i'll be searching in the mastercam itself for some answer and will look up at this post you sent.
  6. Hello guys, i'm using Mastercam on a daily basis and have some doubts on the subjects of the title, despite seeing videos on YouTube, i'm not able to understand it completely and how it affects my parts. The people who works with me doesn't seem to use and they don't seem to want to learn about it. So i decided to come and ask on this forum, also i have just made my account and if this is being posted on the wrong section of it, i'm sorry. So to the question, can someone explain me the use of these functions, there many, so if anyone wants and has the time. I use the Arc Filter tolerances to make the program smaller only, by setting up like the following image: But i only do that because they told me to and it worked. For the tolerances in the config menu i never changed a value there. I would like to know what each function in Arc Filter/Tolerances does and how it affects my work piece. Thanks in advance.
