steve sorry haven't tried the aluminum ones just the for Ti and SS ones with very good results

for wireframe go to Home, Attributes, far right icon is set all, you can change color , style, level or you can also change from analyze entity properties -
think that would get you fired at most shops at least it would be a written warning

just use a tapered cutter with a small point

you can use whatever version you want, they may not have someone that knows the version you use for help we have one computer that uses ver 7 (not X7) just for engraving

you set the probe up as a tool and just program it to the center of the bore and to the z depth that you want then call the probe bore sub -
under plunge parameters

you need to allow undercut but the angle needs to be less than on your insert

i did the hasp driver even uninstalled X5 and re-installed. asked IT and they said probably .net update. try rolling it back there was a microsoft update on Monday not a big deal only 39 working days left but who's counting

all of a sudden X5 will not find the sim 2021 and 2022 work fine i have a lot of old files that are easier to look through with X5, i reloaded X5 and updated driver for the sim but still doesn't work any ideas

i usually copy all the geometry to another level and turn off original so not to modify solid creation

if you have % O8010 (PROGRAM NAME) blah blah M30 % should be good

doesn't do that in Solidworks, would think that the 45 deg is locked in i don't have SW for MC loaded will have the other programmer try it when he's back from vacation

never ran into this before, when adding a 45 deg chamfer in wire or solid if it's a flat to a curve it doesn't come out to a 45deg if i draw a vertical line at the intersection it does the 45 is it making the 45 tangent to the curve intersection point?

could be virus protection ours was always flagging X+ as a virus and disabling it
