my mastercam and also Temp is on C drive ( ssd ) , but shared mastercam folder is on the NAS ( for easier access among other mastercam installations )
whether i have shading on or off doesnt matter , regarding slow when using Solid Chaining ,,, what do you think about mastercam recalculating spun profile everytime , no matter if the solid is changed or not
graphics card is up to date
the PC i think is ok , have no other problems than slow when using Solid Chaining
Win 10
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
RAM 32,0 GB
64-bit operativsystem, x64
Nvidia Quadro P 2200
anybody got similar problem ?
when using solid chaining in lathe , the system becomes very, very slow , especially on bigger complex parts , dialogs can take up to 2-3 minutes to open every time .
for me to see mastercam recalculates the spun profile every time a dialog is opened and modified , the right way to do it would be that mastercam only recalculetes the profile if solid is changed
if you instead uses wireframe spun profile one time , the dialogs opens instant and no problems
anybody got a solution for this problem ?
anybody knows if mastercam will be making live b axis turning ( with 3d tools ) ( A axis on milling MT machines ) ,, or does an add-on exist with this functionality ?
curve 5 axis can be used but code has to be edited and inserted manually , does not have the flexibility that this example shows .
i once saw a strategy in adv. multiaxis machining that could do automatic 3+2 surfacemilling
am i wrong ? , i cant find it now , anybode can help ?
i have a part now that has a whole lot of machining , and undercuts , maybe it could help me ?
anyone know if Toolmanager is available as standalone installer ?
it does not require the hasp to be in the computer i have recognised
i have a Zoller presetter , and would be very nice to have the toolmanager installed ,,, but of course not the complete mastercam package
thanks , i did it via boolean operations in solidworks , its pretty accurate , but not 100 pct .
a thing for mastercam to consider for the future releases
today manufacturers of end mills for dynamic mill often specify volume instead of cutting time , thats why i wanted to do this
i have had the same thoughts about DNMG ( or a positive 55 deg insert ) adjusted so that upper and lower lead angle is the same
and using a rather big nose rad. so that i dont get problems with chips up the insert
on my Integrex i will try this next time i have an approiate job .
i installed the add-on and tried to make a few toolpaths .
se attached mcam file , and picture
isnt it possible to mak a a zig zag toolpath ? , so that the tool goes forward and back without retracts ?
on the sandvik website i see that to tool is designed to go in both directions
i can make it go forward og backward , but not zig zag
prime-test.mcam
Have installed mcam 2018 mill and turn ,,, but i cant see the sandvik Prime turning cycles ?
anybody know , is it an add on ?
anybody got a sample mcam sample file ?
