Just got a project having trouble getting started. I have some artwork that started as a pdf (chinese characters) we enlarged the pdf to the required size put them on white paper fits on 8.5 x 11. Had to modify them to a block style font with a fine line marker therefor we no longer have a pdf as such to work with just black artwork on white background. How can I create a file that I can get into MC ART then into MCX2. I need to machine the characters .040 deep into .25 thk lexan it will be a template for a pantograf TIA Dave C.

Like to have pros and cons if possible on using the following with MCX2. Solid Works, Solid Edge and Inventor. Im getting solid Works just need to show due diligence and justification for a upcoming meeting with goverment beancounter (cost is not a factor).All ny CAD experience is with M/C Design, Draft and Cad Key. The company I work has finally agreed to let me upgrade my programing dept. We have been using Virtual Gibbs 5.4, I canceled our maintance several year ago due service Issues. We have been generating our geometry with MC Draft Ver 7 and importing as DXF files into gibbs and all the extra work creates a large vacuum (IT S**KS). In the next 30-45 days I will be getting all new hardware 2 seats MCX2 Mill Level 3, MC Solids and MC Art also Soldworks 2007. Anyone have any comments or advice? Thanks in advance. Dave C
