  1. That should work fine.
  2. In the verify general settings you can try adjusting the "interpolation step". What video card do you have?
  3. What is most interesting is the posts that we got directly from our MC reseller are far from being accurate. The Okuma post we got was awful. These were not custom posts. They seem to be the same posts that they have been handing out for years. Are we to believe that we were the first people to run these posts? It looks to me like they are deliberately sending out bad posts in order to get you to pay more for customizing a post for a standard machine. It's just a 2 axis lathe. Nothing special. Like you said, if you do not have a lot of experience in posts, or operating the machines, you are really at the mercy of the software company.
  4. Out of curiosity, to you have older versions of MC installed? I am not experiencing this in 2019; but, I was in 2017. I do not have older versions installed.
  5. LOL, Those countries already have the software. Get it when you arrive.
  6. Lakeshore Carbide Why the preference?
  7. It has been a long time since I have used X6; but, you may need to create curves on those edges and then select those curves.
  8. Put precision on lowest setting. If you are recording, put quality on lowest. Verify either runs way to fast or way too slow.
  9. I am seeing a lot of problems with 2019.
  10. I use chamfer mills from harvey with precision flats.
  11. I do not have any problem snapping to the center. The problem is whenever I do snap to the center the diameter is locked.
  12. Chances are, your Dell will fail first.
  13. Go back and try it with both. Same results. It is irrelevant which one you choose. It does not work.
  14. If I don't want to draw a point, why would I make a hole axis? Ok. I challenge you people to do what I am trying to accomplish. Make a port cavity and create an unlocked threadmill by selecting the counterbore. No points. No axis. Just the port, solid geometry.
  15. Yeah, X9. That was the version. It had nothing to do with the geometry not working. If your hole was too small, you could not click on the arrow unless you tried about 239 times. I remember that soooo well. I still get angry thinking about it. Time for him to upgrade.
  16. I take that back. It is not working. It unlocks, however, it taps on the edge instead of center.
  17. You are correct. Using the edge DOES work. Using the centerpoint does not. THANK YOU!
  18. Okay. I need to explain more. I am doing a port. The port has a counter bore about 3x the diameter of the thread. The point I wish to select is the bottom of the counterbore, because all of the depth dimensions are based from that point. If you know what a port is, then you probably realize that there are several other diameters below the cb before you get to the thread diameter. Now, when I select the center of the CB edge, MC unwittingly locks in the diameter of the CB. This FORCES me to draw a point so MC will allow me to override their locked-in diameter. I do not want to draw a point. That point is going to create more problems. This will be a template and the key is to be able to modify from port size to port size without importing/exporting points. This has been a problem for more than a decade. Whenever you select an arc entity, solid edge or wire, MC assumes that is the diameter of a thread. People, including me, have complained about this diameter being locked many, many times.
