  1. Hey guys, I'm a new user of Verisurf and after a month of studying, reading and working also with Master 3Dgage arm, I have a few questions. I thank everybody who'll take time to go through any of these... 1. How do you disable the articulating arm to behave as a mouse-pointer? When I start measuring and move around the part, the on-screen mouse wanders off the graphic display window and when I try to terminate the measurement, I'm clicking on something else on the screen. 2. Are there any recommendations on adjusting properties/settings for improved functionality of Verisurf/MCAM? For example, I took the Verisurf University course online and one of the first things was setting up the VDI Device properties to work in WinXP compatibility mode and starting up Verisurf in administration mode. Of course that was for Verisurf X6 and different windows, but is there something to tweak on current versions? 3. Universal CMM - How does it work with old machines? Are there any limitations to which machines would still operate under it? 4. Analysis manager: In best fit dialog, there is "use floating point" option. When would you turn the option on or off? What floats? Centroid of the point cloud? 5. Does Verisurf have an option to calculate the tolerance limit values? I have worked with PC-DMIS before and it was possible to enter basic size, fundamental deviation, IT grade and the tolerance values (when measuring form blueprint) would be calculated. 6. Is the axis of a circle defined with a center of the circle and the normal of the surface vector it is projected on? 7. Can someone explain Vector Offset? Offsets the origin of the line the specified value. Useful when using Vector Targets (also known as Hidden Point Rods) with Laser Trackers. I'm not sure what this means... 8. Auto align: Use for scale? when and how to use it? 9. Alignments: Do N-point align and register only differ in user defined options? Because both do a local transformation to the selected points, right? Is the only difference in choosing which points the calculation is going to use to transform the clouds? Or am I missing something? + I found the Technical tips document really useful and I'm wondering if there is any more literature I could get my hands on? Thank you! Miha
