  1. Hey all, so I've finally reluctantly "upgraded" to 2023 and am also pained by the changing of stock setup options. I found a rather simple work around for the lack of the "Stock Display" option, which I toggle off/on many times a day. Under Options, I added "Stock Display" to my "Quick Access Toolbar" so it's just constantly available up in the top left hand corner. Another thing you can do is go to "Options" > "Customize Keyboard" > "All Commands" > "Stock Display" > add your own hot key, I chose the space bar just because I already use "S" to toggle shading off and on. 2. I have an ST25Y, Not only is it painfully loud, to the point where I limit the spindle to 1k, it is also the most problematic machine in my shop. Numerous Hydro leaks, air hose failures. All within the first year of ownership, a true Lemon. I've been operating Haas machines for over twenty years now, this ST25Y is the worst. I whole heartily advise avoiding the ST-Y series at all cost. I'm thinking about lining the inside of the motor housing with dynamat. I just can't believe Haas would sell something so horrible... ugghhh I can hear it whining away now, even with ear plugs + muffs inside my office with the door shut. Pardon me while my ears bleed....
  3. I wonder how often y'all are running Haas spindles at 100% of their capable RPM? Or if you're familiar with the phrase "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." I see youngsters revving up their spindles like hot rods, 10k all day everyday on a 10k spindle. If you want to run 10k all day everyday, perhaps look into a 12k spindle. Don't beat the thing an inch from it's life, you might be surprised from the results. If you can't afford a higher RPM spindle adjust your adjust your feed rate accordingly. .. Been using Haas since the 90's and have only seen one spindle failure along the way. -j
  4. @JeremyV Seems like a valid option MC should have/consider. Much like direct option for Multiaxis Thread Milling, it is 2019 and all... taps are for squares!
  5. I just created independent Work Planes, like the good old days. The holes are actually on a curved surface.. so need to spot face a flat land first. Just strikes me as odd how easy it is to drill on multiple planes, yet they have no option for thread milling... Thanks for the help -j
  6. Thanks Ron, I got that to work. Looks like I got some copy & pasting to do !
  7. You're suggesting creating independent tool planes for each thread milled hole? There's 24 of them I've oriented the drilling normal to the cylinders, I was hoping Thread Milling could be as simple? Thanks!
  8. Howdy folks, I'm machining up some Titanium and need to thread mill some 6-32's on a curved face. I've got the holes all drilled with the "Multiaxis Drill" operation just fine. But can't get a Thread Milling option to work. Only place I'm seeing "Thread Mill" tab is under 2D toolpaths. Tried that with the rotational option on with no luck. Any suggestions, other than manually programming with G02? Haas VF3, Mastercam 2019
