  1. Hello all, Need ideas for holding this part to machine rad on top. Its not one off part so fixture would be ideal. Its approx. 3 inch tall and 0.5 inch dia at bottom. Milling it on 3-axis. Thanks in advance.
  2. Guys, Need suggestions on checking the wear on miniature endmills. We use some endmills smaller than 1mm on harden steel. Just wanted to know quick and cost effective way to check wear on them as it is not possible to check with bare eyes. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi All, Need an advice on how to remove tiny burrs from chamfers, radius and other features from harden tool steel components. Any specific tools you guys using ? or any programming and machining technique that would minimize burr formation at first place. Burrs are very small and our polisher is catching it in microscope. And removing manually is not efficient. Thanks in advance.
  4. @Rekd Materials are mostly S390,M4 and D2. Machine is Makino Ps95 and mostly hydraulic holders. Endmills are from Deboer tools.
  5. @Jobnt Parts are not that big, 10 x 10 inches max. Parts have 3d features on it raised pads and V-rings Etc., so grinding is not appropriate for the application.
  6. HI, Folks Need an expert advice on milling harden tool steels (60-62 Hrc) mostly flat surfaces.. Currently using End mills but Its not efficient and not holding flatness and tolerances (+/-0.0002). Need advice on specific tools and strategy for machining it. Thanks.
