  1. Sometimes when the tool goes past the vertical it will double cut that area Try this Since the geometry is an arc set the tool axis control to a point and choose the center of the arc
  2. depending on the tolerances required - just offsetting the curves in z does not scale the radii and will give some variation from the intended part but offsetting the surfaces scales the curvature in the z direction if offsetting the curve keep the offset to a minimum
  3. Could not make surface contour work on this geometry Tried verything I could think of - new curves - new geometry etc It did work by offsetting the drive surface - creating an edge curve on this surface and then using a swarf toolpath with chaining set to sync by entity
  4. Try this method to layout a cone CONE LAYOUT.MCX-5
  5. create a sillhouette boundry around the features and offset the boundry by the distance needed
  6. You can also use autodrill to automatically create drill toolpaths here also the geometry has to be drawn correctly + 1 on the stl compare to prevent errors

    Parabola

Ellipses and parabolas are different geometry there is a c-hook "fplot" that allows you to plot equations Machinerys handbook or the internet will give you the equation
  8. Maybe backplot the theads you have then save as geometry to find the start point
  9. If there is a solid put edge curves on that Otherwise create curve all edges only on surfaces that that do not share an edge then go back and create curve one edge on the remaaining edges
  10. Strange that running a contour and saving the backplot as geometry didnt help - that technique seems to work well waht filter toleance did you use

    Analyze

In the opeations manager choose select then set the parameters to use all opertions using those criteria will be checked in the operations list in this all toolptah using the selected goemetry
