  1. OK Solved. I deleted the user file and the machine group file and did a repair and that seemed to solve it Wierd. Thanks for your help. Dave
  2. tried removing the install and re installing I get the same error. Some stuff was not deleted however my post was still selected when I tried it agan even after I deleted the install.
  3. Appreciate the help I will try that. Dave
  4. here is the error I tried removing and re picking, the directory is correct that did not work. This is on a brand new install. Brand new computer box running Win 7.
  5. I'm sorry I may have not made my question clear. When you first open MC on a new part...before you have done anything....not even imported the part file yet... you have to pick a machine right? I try and pick my machine (haas 4x mill ) and it says axis combination not supported and then defaults to the generic 3x mill Dave
  6. Just started using x7 went to post something after I had picked the generic haas 4x mill when I try and select it from the machine drop down menu in MC I get an error axis combination not supported. Tried deleting and repicking the post cant seem to get around this. Any ideas? all I want to do is use the generic Haas 4X post.
  7. Yes that did the trick thank you very much John! Next time you buy a beer, get something good and pretend I bought it for you
  8. I'm using the Haas SL 4X post. I have made modifications myself in the past but only under adult supervision . John I sent you an e-mail, thank you again. Dave
  9. First time trying to use rigid tap on my ST-10. Post is outputting a G32, we need a G84. Anyone know what to change in the post? I did not find a switch anywhere, I was hoping it would be that simple... Any help appreciated. Dave
  10. Oh no, I though it would do the bar pull from a turret mounted device. My misundertanding. I don't have a dual spindle machine.
  11. Thanks So if I'm using an X6 post no post mods needed, just define stock and chuck? If it's bar pull I'm looking for is there anything else?
  12. I was poking around at the new lathe edition I see there is a bar pull pickoff, etc. When I try and use it says not supported in my post, which is the SL post. Any idea how to turn it on, or is it a custom code / pay for type thing?
  13. How do you switch from new to old? is it this line... 1=yes - Set based on Axis Combination in MD old_new_sw : 1 #Switch old (6T), new (0T+) cycle formats, 0=old, 1=new I did find the codes listed by Trevor. I'm using the stock haas SL post in X6 Oh man this is always an adventure. I appreciate all of your help. I really screwed something up as after some modifications it was not even posting out G76, then I reloaded the backed up post and tried again and it seems to be doing what it should I will have to try and run the code through the machine later this evening and see. I must have fat fingered something. Not the first time.
  14. J, thanks a lot. I will send you the z2g this evening I'm at work right now. Appreciate the help.
