At my old job we had a NC editor called "Edit NC", very original name there. Anyways, I was able to open up a posted program and back plot the tool path inside of this editor. This was very useful if the operator was telling me the program was doing something that I didn't see on my screen using our CAM software. Usually it was a post issue that caused the machine to do a weird machine move or something. Well I'm wondering if Code expert has that ability. I haven't seen anything in the menus that tell me there is a back plot option but maybe I'm just missing it. If Code expert doesn't have the option is there another route I could go other than having to purchase another Editing software?

I have noticed a pattern with code expert in X7 Mu2 serv pak 1 and even before . When the editor is being used or left open after a while it will not function or open posted files from mcam.It used to open after shutting it down and restarting just CE, but now in order to make it work i have to shut the computer down and all the programs i am using like mcam outlook firefox and a txt editor and then open master cam and then CE and then the others but after a while it still does the same thing and i have to go thru the same shutdown process or open the file with Mastercam Editor from the last version of X7 which works every time. I do like the CE but it would be nice to be able to use it without the lock ups's.. What could be causing the issues ?? TIA CadCam
