I have a MasterCAM file with a wireframe spline contour that needs to be turned on the inside of a part. However, MasterCAM all of the sudden "goes off track" at the end of the spline, and fails to cut it accurately. I think this is maybe a relief angle limitation? Any ideas on how to address this are appreciated. I've attached the file. Note that this operation is only machining part of a longer contour (as part of a repair), so we cannot extend the start or end of the contour. (Not that that helps, but just FYI.) Also note that this is not just the toolpath not rendering over the wireframe (due to where the tool origin is located). If that were the case, the backplot would render the tool in the correct location, which it does not: coords.mcam

Has anyone ever had to add a accupro/picco solid carbide boring bar to mastercam? I'm a newer user and was looking for some pointers. I see that I can draw a tool but are there certain things I'll need to keep an eye on or look out for? Once again, sorry. New to this.

Hello, I have common parts that have two plates at different levels on the Z axis that get a bore through both plates that have to be lined up. Right now, the operators are manually programming this operation to start at the top of one plate - bore through- rapid to the top of the lower plate- and bore through without retracting until it is finished. Is there any way that mastercam can program this so I can take the responsibility and time off the floor? I do not want the boring bar to retract between bores, I want it to do exactly what the operators are programming. Is this possible and how? If it is, I would like to use this method for drilling etc. as well. Thanks!
