  1. Version 1.0.0

This is an eBook. It requires an internet connection to access. Published by In-House Solutions Inc. IBSN: 978-1-77146-801-5 The Mastercam 2019 Wire Training Tutorial provides users with an excellent resource for learning how to use Mastercam to program Wire EDM machines. The tutorials focus on 2D & 3D Geometry creation and Wirepath creation such as Contour, 4-Axis and No Core. Open contours, Multiple contours, dies and Taper angle projects are covered in detail. Each tutorial guides users from geometry creation through to G-Code generation. Additionally, each tutorial includes description of the parameters used in the different dialog boxes such as the Wire/Power, Cut Parameters, Compensation, Stops, Leads and Taper.

  2. Hello all, Is it possible to edit or add to the .tech files? The only options that come up from the drop down menus are for .010" wire and Steel. The settings that are output are not the same as what our manuals recommend. I need to be able to output the appropriate settings for cutting steel, aluminum and copper. I can open the .tech file with a text editor and start editing but wanted to know if there was a better way. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I'm at a dead stop, maybe just for the fact that a leap year landed on a Monday I'm looking to burn a round work piece with teeth 360 around the part. I know they will not purchase me a rotary, so that's out of the question. As an added bonus of confusion they also REFUSE to let me design a fixture that will stop halfway and just manually index to a pin so they can index the part 180 and restart the program...They want this thing burned 360 one run, no moving of the part without a rotary; any Ideas are better than what I have going on in my head on this fine Monday....Fire away!
  4. I'm looking for an EDM work holder that swivels left to right and up and down, with the compounding angles being very accurate. I seen what I needed in a catalog a while back, of course didn't think to book mark the page then, a few months have passed and I deeply regret that now; any link to something that is similar would be incredible, I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
  5. I got this part handed to me today. I've wired this part before, but now they added the 2x 3/64 chamfers. Not sure how to go about this. Is it even possible to wire? Using Mastercam 6x, i know, i'm behind. Wire EDM is Mits FX20. Any help is appreciated. wirepart.pdf
  6. Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with wire edm'ing this stuff. It is cutting fine but is really messing with my deionization. After i first started running this material I noticed my deionization levels going up so I thought I just needed to change my resin. So I did that and after the machine ran idol a few hours my levels came down, then as soon as I started cutting the moly again my DI levels went off the chart again. Never had a material do this before. So my plan is when I am done cutting this stuff I am going to drain all my water and change all my filters so I dont ruin another bottle of resin trying to filter this stuff out. Anyone ever deal with something like this before? Something you really have to think about when quoting a job. Charmilles Robofil 240 Thanks! Mike
