  1. I am playing around with stock model because the regular stock setup doesn't seem to allow me to have multiple pieces of stock. I found a tutorial that told me to create a block (solids tab) around the parts I want to machine and select them from the stock model command. I did this and it worked but it is including parts of my assembley as stock that I don't want as stock and in strange orientations. Any ideas as to what caused this or how I might fix it? The tutorial I followed is below if that is of any interest or help.
  2. Hi, I am new to mastercam and I am trying to understand how compatibility works. Are files created on a professional version usable and modifiable on an educational version and vice-versa? Is there any watermarking? If so, is it removable? Are files backwards compatible and usable in any version of the software? Can I use a file created and saved on Mastercam 2022 on Mastercam 2021 and transfert it back to the 2022 version? Thanks. Ps: I did a search before asking my questions, and I was not able to get an answer.
  3. Hello MasterCam'ers My first post on here so I will try and keep it short; I recently started a great new job where Mcam has been made available to me and im doing my best to pick everything up. I've been working through a flurry of training material and am understanding things relatively well so far... in a bite-sized-chunks sort of way. However. As I work under someone with considerably more experience and skill than myself, I have noticed that the ability to tweak post processors here and there is a massive help! Sadly it makes little sense to me, but im willing to put some hours each week toward building a basic understanding and hopefully one day I will be able to make some tweaks myself. Im just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for some instructional material. Even if its "well you need to learn to read code, it will take years..." - it seems worth the effort from what I see each day. Many thanks to anyone who does bother to skim through this
  4. Hi, I am in need to produce a set of holes around a PCD and just wondering if there is any function I could use? Any guidance on this would be grateful cheers
