  1. I am trying to post an engraving program to my cnc fadal 4 axis, but once the program is on the machines the Axis just rotates too much for what it is supposed to do. Please help!! This is my first time programming engraving on this machine and previous programmers have gotten the machine to work the 4th axis. Here is the post program being produced thru mastercam 2017. I am using the MPMaster post downloaded from this site. Is the error in the post or the actual mastercam program? Or maybe its user error and I am missing something. please help!! % O0001 (399885 LETTERING2) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 G91 G28 Z0. 3. I'm new to code but not mastercam and need to know how to get my engraving code to work on an old haas vf-2. I really don't know what I'm doing here and need this code changed or explained to me so I know why it's not working. The error is "invalid gcode" and here's the code: % O0105 (AR15 ENGRAVING) (DATE=DD-MM-YY - 13-03-18 TIME=HH:MM - 14:35) (MCX FILE - D:\CAMPBELL ARMS\AR15\LOWER RECEIVER PART 1 CORRECT 2.MCAM) (NC FILE - E:\FOLDER4\SEND.TXT) (MATERIAL - ALUMINUM INCH - 7075) (T17|0.25 ENGRAVING BIT|H17|D17|TOOL DIA. - .25) N100 G20 N110 G0 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90 N120 T17 M6 N130 G0 G90 G54 X.568 Y-1.545 S6112 M3 N140 G43 H17 Z1.3505 N150 M8 N160 G47 P0 (CAM-00####) X2 Y2 I90 J0.5 R0.1 Z-0.001 F30 E10 N170 G0 Z1.3505 N180 M5 N190 G91 G28 Z0. 4. Hi everyone, I am wondering what you all do when you have pocketed letters like in the image I attached and you only need simple stick characters to engrave a single line? I am sure there is a simple trick or method one of you MCAM experts use to deal with this. Usually I just put stick characters over top and try to match the style but I have hundreds of numbers to engrave this time. Thanks

This is a free utility written by MTB Technical Services for a local Machine Tool Distributor. It makes it easy to generate Engraving programs for your FANUC Controlled Mill. It includes the Macro-B files as well as an intuitive interface for generating NC code for engraving very quickly. 6. Has anyone had trouble with the engraving operation while using MCX7? It worked fine when I was running MCX6, but now after I select the geometry and click the green checkmark to continue a window that reads "Cannot create operation" pops up. I click "OK" (the only option on that window) and then I'm back to nothing but my geometry and machine in the operations manager. Did I miss downloading an add-on possibly?
  7. i have a part with 47 variables that that need to be engraved on each part. 18 of them will change from part to part. the machine is a mazak 730 5x ii. it has a mazak matrix control on it, and was wondering if i can make variables like a fanuc, or is there some macro call like a haas.
