I cannot get the tools set to machine the part on the sub spindle. I am using three dual station clamping units mounted in station 1, 6 and 12. the back tools or tools facing the sub are RH. I have them defined as T0131.02, T0636.02, AND T1242.02. I cannot get them to go to the sub spindle zero position. I have tried to use macro numbers. I have my part programmed in g code. I have 13 stations and unlimited offsets but for some reason it will not read the tools for the sub spindle. It reads fine for the main when I use T0101.01, T0606.01, and T1212.01 I have been programming using G53.5 Do I try to use a G54-G57 workshift for the sub? thanks for your help

very newbie topic i believe. so im getting random g54s posting in my programs. it doesnt always happen on every tool in a toolpath group. im aiming to have NC files post with no work offsets in them at all, we leave it to the operators to place the correct offsets in the programs or in the mains. question 1 is why does it post sometimes and not always on me? it usually isnt the whole program or even a whole toolpath group. today i had it post only in one toolpath group and only on 90% of the tools in that group. question 2 i have found that under a toolpaths parameter under misc values if i check the box labeled "Automatically set to post values when posting"(see attached file) it removes the offset from posting, will the cause any other unseen surprises after posting? and how can i avoid not having to check this box everytime?

Morning, As the topic suggests, how do I get a G55(for example...) on just one operation that shares a workplane with another op? I've tried duplicating the plane to give it it's own offset but for some reason, the planes remain linked. If I change the output on one, every similar plane changes. If I add the offset to the planes page of the op, it changes globally as well. I feel this should be really simple, and I just can't find it! Jay
