When looking for geometry on a certain level I noticed something. If you highlight your selected geometry by clicking on it in the selection window, it shows you a yellow dashed line of the geometry regardless of whether the level it's on is visible. If you leave that highlighted and then turn visibility for the level that the selected chain geometry resides on, then turn off the yellow highlight by exiting the chain selection it makes the geometry invisible on the level it actually resides in. you have to turn that level on and off again for it to reappear. Could this possibly be a video driver thing or does this still occur in 2023.

Is there a way in Mastercam to create geometry that will output G00 rapid moves when used as chain geometry? It would be great if mastercam would recognize particular curve fonts as rapid moves. For example, a solid line when used as chain geometry would be recognized as a feed move, but a dashed line would be interpreted as a rapid move. I often create my own toolpath geometry in Rhino/Grasshopper and I tend to create additional geometry to link passes together for optimal toolpath motion -- see attached image for example. It also means that don't have to click on multiple toolpath curves - the attached example is pretty mild in this regard. If I could make the linking geometry a different line type -- say dashed -- so that G00 moves would be output instead of G01, it would be an very useful feature.

Would some one be so kind as to explain exactly what "Change Recognition" does. I use it when we get a rev change to replace the old model with the new model but I'm not sure what all of the options are. I feel like I'm missing something very useful with this feature. I don't change any settings when importing new geometry, I just let it do its thing. My operations go dirty and then I'll regenerate my 3-d tool paths and reselect the geometry for any 2-d tool paths that may have changed
