I have been using Mastercams Tool Designer to set up Sandviks Coro turn tools I have downloaded in stp file form. I have successfully been defining all the turning and boring tools I have downloaded. Then I moved onto the grooving tools I needed and I cannot get it to cut right. It won't cut down to the proper floor diameter and it is offset. I have spent the day trying to get it to work. Is there anyone out there that is familiar with the tool designer that could help me out? Heck, even if your not and you are accomplished with Mastercam maybe you could help me out. I have attached a file. You can see that the CoroCut® 3 cutting unit for parting and grooving does not get to the proper depth and is also offset. Thanks very much fellows Be safe and have a good weekend. 208-0006_Cap3.mcam

I would like some suggestions for a deep micro trepanning operation we need to do. It looks like a blind weld prep around a hole that is .101 +/- .001 dia. the small dia. of the prep (O.D.) is .141 +/- .001, the large dia. (I. D.) is .200 +/- .001. Here is the kicker, it goes .145 +/- .005 deep. There is a .010 radius on both corners at the bottom of the prep, and the .200 dia. needs a 32 finish or better. The material is Nickel 200. could anyone help me out with some advise on the best way the machine this and the best tools to use. Thanks
