TheDougie posted a topic in Educational ForumHi all, I am using the book 'Learning Mastercam X7 Mill 2d Step By Step', which includes a 'Mastercam Design X7 Demo/Home Learning Edition' CD. Everything was going fine until I start learning toolpaths in Chapter 5. When I click any button in the ‘2D Toolpaths’ or ‘2D Highspeed Milling Toolpaths’ toolbars it says, ‘requested function can not be run from Mastercam Design X7 Demo/Home’. So, I can't use the demo software from Chapter 5 onwards, i.e., about two thirds of the book. Anybody know a solution for this? Can I upgrade this software, or do I need to buy another version? Thank you.
Hello to whomever reads this, I am a student just beginning learn Mastercam. I am using Mastercam X9 HLE (Home Learning Edition) and it worked for a few weeks with no problem. Now it doesn't even open and directs me to the crash report message in the picture I uploaded. I have submitted the forms in the crash report twice and nothing happened. I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but it still sends me to the crash report. Anyone have any advice on how to get it running again? My sincerest thanks, KartEnthusiast

Hi, I'm currently in a 3rd year engineering program at my high school. In that class, we have numerous licensed educational seats of Mastercam X6, along with lots of other pieces of dangerous-looking equipment, available to us. I also have a copy of Mastercam X6 HLE on my laptop which I need to use in order to finish a large project with a very short deadline we were recently given. So, here's my problem: After I'm done with the software part of the project, I have to create the part on a CNC. Now, as you probably know, X6 HLE was neutered specifically to prevent people from being able to do that. So, is it possible to open Mastercam X6 HLE files on a licensed copy of Mastercam X6 and then post the NC file so I can machine the part?
