Hi everyone, We just bought Renishaw Productivity Plus for Mastercam X7. I am trying to make it works on our new machine : machine: AWEA 3016 controller: FANUC 31i The dealer modified our post .pst to make it communicate with the Renishaw post ,renmf for FANUC 31i controller. On MasterCam, I am able to post the program. However, when I am trying to run it on the machine, the program tries to open subprogram that doesn't exist on the machine (see the attached file to see all the program that the program is trying to open. Here's the beginning of the program until the error pop on the screen: O0000 (PIECE TEST-6) (AWEA SP3016) (MACHINE GROUP-1) (MCX FILE - G:\RENISHAW PROBING\PIECE TEST.MCX-7) (PROGRAM - PIECE TEST-6.NC) (DATE - DEC-18-2013) (TIME - 11:16 AM) (T60 - RENISHAW OMP60 - H60 - D60 - D0.2362" - R0.1181") (T4 - SLOTTER 1.00 COURT R1/16 PASSE .125 - H4 - D4 - D1.0000" - R0.0620") (T48 - END MILL 3/8 .375 CARB. Hey, Recently, in the last week, I have been having an issue with backplot. You know, the thing we use 1000 times a day? When I go to backplot a turning operation, it will either crash mastercam or when I hit run ( play ) it won't display any movement and I can't manipulate the graphics view. If I go to roll the graphics view it won't update till I close backplot. If I create a mill path like contour and backplot that then all is good. It seems to only be turning operations. Randomly it will work for one use on the same problem toolpath. I attached the stripped mcam file for reference. This is on an Integrex i300 FYI. I did have the same issue with a Swarf path last week but it never crashed mastercam it just wouldn't show any positions. Verify still works like it should though. Things I have tried : Restarting Mcam Restarting Computer checked for updates used the mastercam default config rolled back to previous video card driver ( tried backplot but no dice ) ( put the current updated driver back ) repair file function deleting toolpath then creating a new one. Tried using multiple turning tools thinking it was a corrupted tool....if that's even a thing. using different stock defs using different stock planes using no stock whatsoever toggle stock update on/off I am at a loss here. Is this an issue anyone else is having or that mastercam already knows about? Or is this just an isolated incident. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all! test.mcam

First post! Hello Folks! Amateur programmer here only using mastercam for about 3 years now. A lot of the older guys like to have me do all the research on issues with their software. Let me get straight to the point. We have about 8/9 PCs around the shop running mcam, and 5 of which are full time including myself. Recently with the install with 2018 being released I installed it on all of our machines. Some programmers are not so quick to jump into the new release as others. Myself, I jumped right in. I encountered an issue with printing from and through phone calls back and forth, sessions with our re seller we were unable to come up with a solution or reason for the issue. Basically it would only print the top maybe 10% of the page and cut off the rest. Long story short I just resulted to printing to a PDF and then printing from there. Short work around, but work around none the less. I was the only one having the issue until a second machine started having the same issue. After some use and a few weeks went by one of our machines had encountered an issue where we would open MCAM 2018 and nothing would happen. No splash screen, nothing. Yet after some investigation opening the task manager mastercam would still show up in processes but nothing would be open. After working with our reseller and going back and forth with them attempting to fix the issue for days they were unable to figure out the issue or why this was happening. The reseller even got CNC Software involved and they couldnt figure it out. Our short term solution was to choose a system restore point previous to the issue. It has since happened three other times. Once more with the same machine and twice on another. Now this time the system restore point has not worked. These are just happening at random times upon closing/opening or on restart. Wanted to post here to maybe see if anyone else is having similar issue or may have suggests of us. Much appreciated! Sam
