  1. I found this menu/check boxes before but now I cannot....Where do you control the stop conditions for Machine Simulation? I google this but only find instructional videos that don't mention it...so far. Anyone please help? until then I'll keep searching the help, table of contents and google.
  2. Please help. How do you "remove/keep chips" while in Machine Simulation? (there was a cool picture to go with this but wouldn't let me load it for some reason even though it was less than the measely 32.76 kB allowed....)
  3. I'm trying to run a 5 axis toolpath but my machine alarms out due to the retract height being above the machine's z axis limit. Is there a way to assign a z travel limit in machine simulation from the center of rotation in order to predict this? Thanks!
  4. There doesn't seem to be any help menus. Can someone point me to a good A-Z tutorial? Thanks in advance, -DM
  5. Hi, i wonder how to create machine definition for machine simulation. I have solid model. In machine simulation toolbar is "machine conversion" but after clicking to this button i have pop-up window " Please fill the path in where machine to be exported in IOF_machine_path.ini from user\Documents\my mcamx " I dont have this file in that folder. Thanks for help
  6. Is anyone else using the internal machine simulation with mastercam? I have started using it since we only have two seats of vericut and I am the odd man out right now. I'm just wondering if other people have experience using it. I did pretty much a basic setup right now of a couple of machine, two horizontals and one 5-axis. I attached a few photos. I was also doing some digging around under the machine def manager and see there is a machine configuration. Anyone play around with these? I posted a photo of the machine def. lower right corner is machine config.
  7. I recently have just started to play with the ModuleWorks machine simulation in Mcam X7. I have successively created my machine and the simulation is working pretty much correctly. However, when there is more than one operation to simulate (or on a tool change), the machine simulation simply "jumps" to the next operation's start point. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing to get the simulation to actually show (simulate) the rapid move to the next operation's start point?
  8. Hello All, Is it possible create a drop down or put in the icons of the machine simulation in the operations manager and if so, how hard will it be? Something like Mastercam does with the solid drop down in the operation manager or the other icons that are in the operations manager. I know that you can not put icons in the operation manager too ( sorry but I don't mean to be a smart a$$). It kind of makes sense that it would be there instead of in a tool bar. Thanks icon.bmp
