So I have been trying for weeks to create a design I sketched out and have been struggling to convert any wireframe into a usable solid or surface. I'm honestly embarassed since I know my design technique is sloppy and I know I'm making a bunch of mistakes but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. It's a relatively complex shape that I'm having difficulty creating in mc. The part is just a 1/4 inch thick skateboard with channels in it I've been wanting to make for years (like a pennyboard). Hi, I'm a newbie at using G68, so having some issues. i have a square casting that has a round boss on the bottom, i have to hold the round boss and machine the square. i want to use G68 to make sure I'm machining square but also need to set the G54 in the middle of the square casting not of the round boss. i have written what i thought would work but I'm having issues with where the controller stores the macro angular change. first off, im following a caminstructor video, ive done everything the instructor has shown, but im getting an error. im trying to pocket face my part to mill down my stock while avoiding a 2" circle, i use pocket mill, and chain select, select my first chain for the outside of my stock and then go to select my second chain to avoid my 2" circle. but it gives me and error saying "not all boundaries are closed. select open pockets or closed chains" or ill get an error saying "the selected sub-chain does not touch the branch point" what is this exactly telling me to fix.
