Within the Probing Dialog, there are a number of Custom Macros available for use. They don't show any toolpath preview (no backplot), and don't have much documentation. Does anyone have any tips & tricks they'd be willing to share? Or notes about what works and what doesn't? One interesting issue I'm currently seeing: If I use the "Measured Sphere" command and generate NC code, I see the code calls G65P2301. But when I click "Run Macro File Wizard", I don't get any O2301; I get a list of 72 programs ending in O2207. In my RenMF I have "_P_SPHERE_FIT 2301". I would think that this would cause a O2301 to be generated, but apparently not.

Probing - RMP60 1) Trying to do probing on DOOSAN NHP 5000 -HMC with B axis machine. Control Fanuc 31i - Model B 2) History - we did only manual probe of the raw material to set the offsets and measuring some feature size etc only...no other serious probing. Machine is installed with Inspection plus & probe is RMP 60. 3) we started testing CAM (mastercam) based probing just a week ago..with CIMCO . 4)All the 3axis measuring we did on the B0 side without any issue and it worked good. We Checked ...hole dia & depth , rectangle pocket size , single surface side angle check , Hole dia check and re-cut by auto adjusting tool wear etc on B0 face.. 5) PATH OBSTRUCTION error pop-up when rotated the B axis table to 90 ( B+90/-90/45/30 etc ) to check the features on the B90 face . Probe switch on at 9832 then goes to the line 9810 and throws the alarm but still the probe is around 60mm above the part surface. 6) Job mounted on Tombstone face - B0 Please look at the code below and if anyone can point out my mistake... TY

Hi everyone, We just bought Renishaw Productivity Plus for Mastercam X7. I am trying to make it works on our new machine : machine: AWEA 3016 controller: FANUC 31i The dealer modified our post .pst to make it communicate with the Renishaw post ,renmf for FANUC 31i controller. On MasterCam, I am able to post the program. However, when I am trying to run it on the machine, the program tries to open subprogram that doesn't exist on the machine (see the attached file to see all the program that the program is trying to open. Here's the beginning of the program until the error pop on the screen: O0000 (PIECE TEST-6) (AWEA SP3016) (MACHINE GROUP-1) (MCX FILE - G:\RENISHAW PROBING\PIECE TEST.MCX-7) (PROGRAM - PIECE TEST-6.NC) (DATE - DEC-18-2013) (TIME - 11:16 AM) (T60 - RENISHAW OMP60 - H60 - D60 - D0.2362" - R0.1181") (T4 - SLOTTER 1.00 COURT R1/16 PASSE .125 - H4 - D4 - D1.0000" - R0.0620") (T48 - END MILL 3/8 .375 CARB. I called the dealer who sold us Productivity plus and they don't know why it doesn't work... I also wrote to Renishaw and I am waiting for a response. I also check every single program in the machine.. Can anyone help me ? Thanks a lot Cedrick Baker Missing Sub Programs AWEA 3016.txt

Hi, We have Renishaw probe subprograms installed on our HAAS machine and they all call out P9000 codes, and when we post from Mastercam/Renishaw ProductivityPlus we are getting P2000 codes. The Machine gives us a Alarm 314. I changed the programs into the 9000 range but it still gives us a P9109A1 which also gives us the Alarm 314. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I was wondering if there was anybody out there who might have a Renishaw probe sitting in a cupboard, unused. I would love to buy a new one, but they are just sooooo expensive .I am looking at one for our machine, to inspect and probe our work, as our machine is basically sitting in a tin shed, and temperature plays a huge role on our CMS Poseidon. Looking at the Renishaw website, i'd be after maybe one of the following models: RMP40 RMP40M RMP60 RMP60M *RMP600

I am currently using a Renishaw LP2DD probe with a stylus that is 100mm in length and has a 10mm ruby ball, the shaft is 4mm. My search speed is 10mm/s. I am using an external kinematic system with a part mounted onto the system, the probe is fixed. I cut my part and I am .017" off in my x direction and .015" in my Y direction. I am currently using no probe deflection offset. Is there a way to calculate this with out using CMM software? Thank you for you help -Austen

Hello, I'm new to the forum and rather new to CNC machining. I have been recently setting up a used '06 Mori Seiki NH4000dcg, MSX-501III controller. We have a renishaw MP10 that came with the machine. I have calibrated the probe already, but I cannot get it to complete a proper measurement cycle. In the x&y planes, I have tried finding points but after it contacts the part it clears away then comes crashing back into the part. If I'm right, which I'm probably not, it's trying to put the center of the stylus at the new found zero. I'm using a G320 cycle for this.. any suggestions??
