  1. What is the best router toolpaths for cutting complex surfaces like a paddle mold. I tried a couple and it was nice but 20 hours run time ha ha. If you google search you get too many to try in my lifetime. Mastercam 2023 Any help along with settings would be great.
  2. Hello everyone, I hope that this isn't just me, or that I am missing a simple setting, but I feel like I am going crazy. Every time I create a primitive block (which I do often for raw stock representation) the primitive dialog defaults to surfaces. I have never wanted surfaces and I swear it used to default to solid... Is there a way to default it to solids? Also, similar issue with certain transforms. I often use the "fit" transform, to center a part in my material, and I never want it to copy. I want it to default to move, but every time, I have to click the radio button over... Mastercam gurus, please tell me there is a fix for this! Thanks in advance
  3. I am hoping this is a simple fix. I have my dimension settings as shown, with the box checked to make them assoiciative. So, my question is, it does not seem to work..? Or maybe I am mis-reading it? When I move something that has been dimensioned my dim text turns red, but that is it. I see on the dim bar there is an icon for update... Ok weird. I just tabbed back into my MCX file and the dimension did update, but there was some delay for some reason? I actually moved it a couple times and each time it did not immediately update. I have the latest driver for my vid card (quadro K2000), any ideas of other things to look at?
  4. Hi, I want to have exactly the same configuration settings for MasterCam X7 MU2 on two separate computers that I use. One is a desktop and one is a laptop. I want to have the same tool libraries, toolbar, operation defaults etc to be duplicated. Which files do I have to copy from the already configured PC to the other to do this. Has anyone done this with success?
  5. Hello, I have been a long time user of AUTOCAD, and proud to say that I have been looking for MASTERCAM my whole life!! With out giving my life story, I started with autocad, than 3ds max, then inventer, to maya, and then I found Mastercam! I Love it this is what I have been searching for I have awsome designs, inventions, ect in my head and cant draw for the life of me since i was 16 im been trying to get these ideas out and here I am! Digressing; Topic Key Mapping Now Autocad is a bit diffrent in the sence that I was so good, I rarely had to draw mostly I type my dementions in the below command line. My drawing would be created above; example L+Enter = Line, Cir+Enter = Circle Getting faster and more complex L+Enter,8.5,-9.4, L+Enter9.4,5.8 ect. When I went to mastercam I have found the Key mapping under setting However, one Huge draw back is you can not use Shift+, this is a huge limitation to "Hot keys". Also you can only use one letter, and my Mouse is functionless. I can not right click + a letter or even use right click in general. Any one else out there that likes to use Key mapping as much as I do? I tell you I save hours over others by avoiding drop down menus and clicking Icons. Lastly Im wondering if anyone has found the green check mark used as "OK" to add a hot key too? gets annoing using a hot key to then turn around and have to click a icon almost makes the hot keys pointless. Thanks,
